Dante Posted May 22, 2012 Posted May 22, 2012 I heard a little hear and there on Scott Walker and the effort to try to recall him. Great read. A little long but well worth it. Thing that stuck out is what the union is pissed about. Unbelievable. Upset because they have to pay 12% of their medical coverage. Oh the humanity. Hang it there Scott because it's a important battle in the war. http://www.weeklystandard.com/articles/high-noon-wisconsin_645176.html

You should of seen the vitriol coming from the head of the Democratic Wisconsin party The freshest evidence of Democrats’ frayed nerves came Sunday, when the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel — the voice of a region that should be strong Barrett territory — threw its weight behind Walker. In a scathing, 349-word statement, state Democratic Party Chair Mike Tate unloaded on the newspaper, accusing it of propping up Walker’s “propaganda” and accusing it of “repeated journalistic lapses.” “One need only read the Milwaukee Sentinel editorials AGAINST the Civil Rights Movement and FOR Joe McCarthy to remember how silly and reactionary a news organization can look in the hindsight of the ages,” Tate wrote. BiggieScooby Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Tom Barrett has a good ground campaign & Obama is up 7-9% in the state. That coupled with unprecedented door by door campaign & youth movement spells trouble for Walker. Wisconsin is in a state of civil war and it sounds like things are tough in Packer country. My uneducated opinion is Barrett wins by 5 points.
IDBillzFan Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 My uneducated opinion Something we can all finally agree on.

In fairness to him, there must be a DailyKos poll or an Olbermann rant somewhere stating that Walker is looking to get smoked in June. How's he supposed to know those MIGHT not be accurate?
Wisconsin Bills Fan Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 No he's not dipshit. Obama and Romney are virtually tied Not to mention that the last three polls have Walker up 5, 6 and 9 points. I've asked this clown before to show me where he gets his numbers from. His lack of response shows me he pulls them out of his ass.

How's he supposed to know those MIGHT not be accurate? Believe it or not, the link I provided there is a Dailykos/PPP poll that has Obama up 1 point over Romney that was taken less than 2 weeks ago.

BiggieScooby Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Barrett is down -6, -6, -9, -4, -5 http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/governor/wi/wisconsin_governor_recall_election_walker_vs_barrett-3056.html Barrett is closing in and the line is an 82% chance Walker wins if you like betting. Doesn't mean Barrett is finished. You never know with 2 weeks to go. Obama Romney is close with 5 months to go. http://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/2012/president/wi/wisconsin_romney_vs_obama-1871.html +1, even, +1.6, +4 Obama The facts are Wisconsin like the many battleground states is 40% democrat, 40% republican and 20% independent. Most elections are won by bringing out the base and winning the independent vote. Barrett has a strong base and independents are known to decide in the last week. Contrary to popular belief this race isn't over.

You should of seen the vitriol coming from the head of the Democratic Wisconsin party Read more: http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0512/76599_Page2.html#ixzz1vcxCLZlF Little Man Tate's temper tantrum was hysterical! As someone who reads the Journal Sentinel I can tell you it is a far cry from being a right-wing newspaper. Most of the time during this recall process anything Walker related that could be viewed poorly was plastered on the front page, didn't hear Tate crying then. I was shocked that they did end up endorsing Walker, but after the jobs lost numbers were cleared up and it showed Wisconsin gaining 33,000 jobs under Walker the Journal had to come out and say a recall is unwarranted. Well no fricking kiddding!

The Dems are doing a very good job of getting people out to early vote in Madison, Milwaukee, and Racine.
fjl2nd Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Scott Walker is going nowhere. He will win the recall election easily.
Wisconsin Bills Fan Posted May 23, 2012 Posted May 23, 2012 Scott Walker is going nowhere. He will win the recall election easily. I don't think it is going to be as big of a margin as it should be. The big labor unions have had boots on the ground for months, they are going to put up a good fight. You gotta admit fjl2nd this recall nonsense really isn't justified.
