EZC-Boston Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 As they said in the concert, it is "real !@#$ing rock and roll", if that's what you like, you'll love it.
BF_in_Indiana Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Velvet Revolver is pretty good. Audioslave is better but VR is a good band. Fall to Pieces is much better than their first single was.

gantrules Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I saw Scott Weiland on some VH1 special over the weekend. Poor guy looks like he's gonna die from malnutrition. Sad, what's he's done to his body. In some ways it makes me think that Llayne S is in a better place.

TheMadCap Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 When I first heard that album, I thought it was quite inspired. Then I realized that Scott Weiland was the singer and the band likely would self distruct....
Thailog80 Posted December 30, 2004 Author Posted December 30, 2004 any Cowbell on this VR CD?????? 185370 Not if wants to get returned to Best Buy.

BF_in_Indiana Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 How far are you from the cat killing? 185374 Pretty far.
jahnyc Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 There was a special last night on VH1 on the "birth" of Velvet Revolver. Interesting to see that Slash and the other former members of GNR have cleaned up. I know that Weiland is trying to get clean, but he seems very fragile and diminished. I think "Go to Pieces" is a great song. Seems like the band is sincere in trying to help Weiland through this and I hope they make it.
IDBillzFan Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 Is there something wrong with my musical tastes? 185364 Not at all. I never stand in judgement of other people's musical tastes. Music is a very subjective thing and to stand in judgement of people because of the music they listen to is just disrespectful and immature. Except for people who listen to rap and country. They're fuggin' morons.
Tux of Borg Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I don't know if you ever really clean up from heroin. Weiland will most likely be dead within the next 5-10 years. But pick up the new VR cd, it's actually quite good.
