The Poojer Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 was a UDFA with Baltimore, he was just released, do we have any space to bring him in? or is this kid from Pitt going to be sufficient enough to provide that TE depth?
CBD Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 I believe Dickerson is being listed as a FB by the Bills. Not that it guarantees that's where he'll stay, but early indications are he won't be playing TE. The Bills have Chandler, Smith, Caussin, Onobun and Brock as TE depth for camp.
NoSaint Posted May 16, 2012 Posted May 16, 2012 Why him over the next guy? Just the syracuse connection or is he better than other dudes available right now? (honest question, didn't watch much cuse)
The Poojer Posted May 16, 2012 Author Posted May 16, 2012 (edited) he was a very good TE for Syracuse, he may have broken the school record for catches(EDIT - sorry, just looked, its at his postion)...a school that included John Mackey. he's in the 6'3" - 6'4" range...and he's available to be looked at with little or no cost or risk... Fair enough - what are the knocks that dropped him to being an available udfa? I really don't know the kid beyond a highlight here or there and name recognition, but some added info in the thread would be good for discussion.

He's not the greatest blocker, but his hands are phenomenal. He's getting better at the blocking part, but he should definitely get another chance. IMO, This would be a GREAT pickup.

BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted May 17, 2012 Posted May 17, 2012 Plays like Chandler and would be good fit for 8-12 yard pass over the middle. Better than any of our other TEs. Saw him last 3 years and gets better all the time. A no-brainer for invite.
