Heading out to Vegas tonight for the first time for a bachelor party weekend. Staying at MGM. Have a pretty large group coming in from all over. Only thing that's set in stone is a cabana booked at wet republic pool party tomorrow. Any absolute "must dos" and any "don't dos" from any of you Vegas veterans out there? Will obviously be gambling but wont let it get too out of hand. Will be drinking extensively. Thanks in advance I'll be checking back throughout the day.

Go to one of the Hotel Sports Books and put $100 on the BILLS to win the SB.

I am least going to do 50 on just that but will up it to 100 if I'm doing ok. Figure it cant hurt the karma!

Fremont Street. Cheap drinks. Cheap fun. Also if a cute girl starts talking to you at a casino bar, it isn't because she thinks you're hot.

That's great, but now if we don't make it, we'll blame it on your bad karma!

See one of the many Cirque Du Soleil shows while you are there. They are amazing.

Eat at the Grand Lux Cafe at the Venetian. Good food.

If you end up at strip clubs, try to stick to OG (Olympic Garden) or Club Paradise (which is essentially walking distance from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino). Cover is expensive at the door, so any time you get into a taxi, check with the driver for what kind of passes he/she has. They hold the passes to get you in for free, but they don't hold passes for all clubs, so feel them out.

If you get to the club and the place is packed and you're with 5 or more guys, give the guy at the front about $40 to clear a table for you, otherwise you're standing around waiting for drinks. Get a table, get a waitress, run a tab, etc. Lapdances run $20 per dance, but regardless of what the chick is sticking in your face, LISTEN to the music. The boom-boom crap gets mixed and you'll find yourself thinking "Wow, this is a long song" before the chick sits down and says "Okay, that's four songs at $20 per song." Make sure you tell her up front "One song at a time." She'll never see you again and will have no problem calling the front to ensure you pay her so ensure you establish the rules up front.

There is an option to buy "funny money" from your waitress. It's basically like monopoly money for dances that you buy in bulk (5 dances, 10 dances, etc.) It's a good way to monitor the amount of money you're spending on dances, but if you plan on doing that, you need to do a couple of things: first, call your credit card company in advance and let them know what you're doing. You only need to spend a few hundred dollars before the credit card company calls the club, and then they have you calling the credit card company and it's buzzkill. Also, if you go with funny money, make sure you let the dancer know up front. The house takes 5-10% of the funny money when they cash it in, and they'd rather know up front. Girls WILL dance for funny money because most of something is better than all of nothing, but tell them up front because some of them get pissy after the fact.

Or, y'know, go enjoy one of those Cirque shows.

If I were to see a show it would definitely be one of those. Saw la nouba at Disney a couple years ago an really liked it even though I'm not much of a "show" fan. Just don't know if we will have enough time this trip or if a bunch of degenerate gamblers and drinkers will want to take time away from the aforementioned activities.

Haha thank you very much. This is the kind of stuff that I need. I travel a lot and consider myself fairly savvy but Im married and don't spend a ton of time at titty bars so this is good to know. Plus I understand that no matter where you've been Vegas is its own animal so just trying to avoid any huge surprises. I've been reading tripadvisor and jackcolton but first hand tips like that can't be beat. Thanks again to all flight leaves in an hour can't wait!

Then sneak away from your buddies for awhile and check out one of the Cirque shows by yourself. They are only a couple of hours long and you can catch up with your friends afterwards.

Go see "O", it's amazing, and getting one ticket might be easy. "Mystere" is a really good one to.

Any hot b*tches?

Nice.

<_<

I saw "O" and after about 45 minutes I figured out why they named it that.

It was short for "O my god I can't believe I spent $200 on tickets to watch this crap."

(I'm in the minority, I know. Most everyone I know loved the show.)

Everyone learns that trick the hard way once! Lol
