Peace Frog Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 How do I resize a GIF file so I can use it as an avatar?
Golden Wheels Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 I suppose "use Photoshop" wouldn't be helpful advise if you don't have that program.
stevestojan Posted December 30, 2004 Posted December 30, 2004 whereever you have it saved, right click on the file, and click on "edit". This will open it with Microsoft PAINT, a weak graphic program, but OK for what you need now. Once it is opened in PAINT, look at the menu's across the top. One will say "Image". Click on that, then "Stretch/Skew" (attributes will look like the correct option, as you can change the pixel count, but it will just cut off the pic or add background). Anyway, in "stretch/Skew", you will be able to change the % of the height and width. You will have to play around to get it to the size you want, but this is how you shrink the image, without cutting it.
Peace Frog Posted December 30, 2004 Author Posted December 30, 2004 I shrunk the gif file, but it's not giffing now. Here's the link to the pic, if anyone can fix it. Basically, I'm trying to use it for my avatar. http://geekhost.info/~gabriela/textbilder/cowbell_anim_1.gif
