WhiteCat Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Absolutely. I have no point of reference but that has got to be one of the most painful injuries ever. not really- not much nerve tissue in tendons. Debilitating- yes. painful, not so much
Garranimal Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Wow, here, let me shed a crocodile tear.....couldn't happen to a bigger a-hole. Next up, Stephen A.
truth on hold Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 On the Baltimore FAN station, Suggs has been quoted as saying it is just ruptured, not fully torn, and that he hopes to be back October, November at the latest... won't know for sure until after an MRI. This happened on Saturday, Ravens knew about it during the draft (again, according to the local radio guys). Suggs could be downplaying the injury and overstating his chances of coming back because ravens have an out not to pay him in the event of non-nfl sports injuries.
Ed_Formerly_of_Roch Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 My thoughts exactly, sounds like he's trying to make light of the whole thing, just a little mishap. Suggs could be downplaying the injury and overstating his chances of coming back because ravens have an out not to pay him in the event of non-nfl sports injuries.
rafter Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 You are correct. He went on to be decent, but before the injury he was playing at close to, if not at, hall of fame level. I agree he would have been hall worthy had he remained pre-injury level. He went from an all-pro to a stop-gap roll player. He was the most exciting and impact Bill's player I can remember during the 2000's.
Toshiero Posted May 4, 2012 Posted May 4, 2012 Wow. Bad break for the Ravens. Report from ESPN suggests he may have done it playing basketball. Surgery scheduled next week. I hate that, damn good player
