truth on hold Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Now that we know Dallas had an intense interest in Claiborne, were highly incented to see him drop and didn't care about the low test score, can we assume they most likely leaked the score of 4? If this can be proven could they lose the pick retroactively? Otherwise what would be the penalty? Also how could Claiborne want to play for them if this came out ? Hmmmm ..... Nanker Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 The League's penalty would be to make them wear an * on their helmets. Oh, wait.

They would not be the first team to leak someone's information . . . I wonder if any of the 5 teams in front of them fell for it, you know know how gullible those NFL GM's are.

truth on hold Posted May 2, 2012 Author Posted May 2, 2012 Even Claiborne would never use the phrase "highly incented". He'd just say "that test don't mean nothing" Â http://aol.sportingnews.com/nfl/story/2012-04-27/morris-claiborne-wonderlic-test-blew-off-dallas-cowboys-draft-lsu-cornerback
Doc Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) Even Claiborne would never use the phrase "highly incented". Outside of the fact that he probably has no idea what the word "incented" means (and with a Wonderlic of 4, I'd be skeptical of him knowing what "highly" means as well), why else wouldn't he use that phrase? Â And every team knows the results of every player's Wonderlic well before the draft. So leaking it to the public means nothing. Edited May 2, 2012 by Doc
KD in CA Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Even Claiborne would never use the phrase "highly incented". Â Â He might if he was burning those little sticks you use to cover up the smell of pot.

You're saying fan opinion and media frenzy don't matter ? That a team wanting to see him drop wouldnt try to pollute the water somehow? If there were no benefit to leaking yet the potential for league punishment, why leak? Edited May 2, 2012 by Joe_the_6_pack
RealityCheck Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 You're saying fan opinion and media frenzy don't matter ? That a team wanting to see him drop wouldnt try to pollute the water somehow? If there were no benefit to leaking yet the potential for league punishment, why leak? Since you don't actually KNOW who leaked the score it would appear that trying to establish a motive is a waste of time. The psychology behind an exercise like this in a forum makes me wonder how the witch trials stopped.

kickedface Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 it wouldn't shock me, but at the same time teams would do stuff like that. especially if they see a player they like. don't be surprised if this starts to become common practice.
Kelly the Dog Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Even Claiborne would never use the phrase "highly incented". He would if he was talking about how much cologne he put on.
RealityCheck Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Basis for criminal investigation is derivation of motive, which determines suspects. Bravo, you narrowed it down to 32 suspects. What next?

Mr. WEO Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Basis for criminal investigation is derivation of motive, which determines suspects. Now a crime has been committed??
