BiggieScooby Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 The Jets are the proverbial car heading for the cliff. Rex is behind the wheel and guys like Cromartie & Holmes have already jumped to avoid the pending freefall. Rex picked up Tim "KoolAid" Tebow to convince everyone to stay seated.
DanInUticaTampa Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 (edited) I don't think it is that big of a knock on us. If the game were in buffalo, and we were 6 point dogs, then I would say that is a bit of a slap in the face. but with home field advantage playing a big part in odds, I am not surprised. Tcali Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 i was in vegas the weekend before last and threw some $ on the bills winning the afc championship at 22-1 odds. what really had me baffled was that the dolphins had better odds something like 17-1. the diff there is that there are more south floridians than western new yorkers--its all about removing the money from people
1B4IDie Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Ill be in Vegas this summer. Sounds like ill put a couple hundo on that.
PromoTheRobot Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I purchased tickets for me n the wife last night... 660 bucks for 6 rows from the lower level around the 30 yard line on the bills sideline... Expensive but hoping will be WELL worth it. It's been a while since I been to Jets stadium to watch bills jets and come back with a win... 660 for 2 tickets and a parking pass... I'll be there too. Nosebleeds $125 each. PTR
Buffalo Barbarian Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 http://sports.yahoo.com/news/early-look-week-1-lines-173010959--nfl.html Jets are in shambles, we are going to roll these guys, only Tebow can save them now.
Gordio Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Lines today are meaningless...the season is a long way away and they will change a lot throughout the preseason. And, right now we are team that on paper appears to added a lot of talent in FA and the Draft, but the rookies are unproven and adding talent does not always automatically translate to wins (see Philly, Washington, etc). Plus, our O has really struggled against the Jets D over the last few years, so we still have a lot to prove. That being said, I fully expect to decisively beat the Jets and once preseason completes I think this line will be closer to even. Not entirely true. Although the line is likely to c hange by opening day, there is one Casino in Vegas(it maybe the Golden Nugget) that allows for people to make wagers as soon as the lines come out. I was just reading earlier this week that Vegas opened the Michigan/Alabama opening week September 1st up with Bama being set as a 13 point favor. They said within a few hours the line dropped down to -6. So if your in Vegas it is probably possible to put a bet in on that line today.
rafter Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 I'll be there too. Nosebleeds $125 each. PTR I promised myself I would never go back there. I am losing the willpower to holdout. I really want to see us stomp the Jets to start the season.
beerme1 Posted May 2, 2012 Posted May 2, 2012 Take the Bills straight up. For sure. At the very worst the Defense wins this game 4-0
