It goes without saying that this is worth virtually nothing at this point; the draft's not even over. But I needed to sort through all our talent mentally, and writing out was the easiest way to do it.

QB (3): Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyler Thigpen, Brad Smith

RB (4): Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Johnny White, Tashard Choice

FB (1): Corey McIntyre

WR (6): Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, Donald Jones, TJ Graham, Derek Hagan, Marcus Easley

TE (2): Scott Chandler, Mike Caussin

OT (4): Chris Hairston, Erik Pears, Cordy Glenn, Zebrie Sanders

OG (4): Andy Levitre, Chad Rinehart, Kraig Urbik, Mark Asper

OC (2): Eric Wood, Colin Brown

--

DE (5): Mario Williams, Mark Anderson, Shawne Merriman, Chris Kelsay, Robert Eddins

DT (4): Marcel Dareus, Kyle Williams, Torrell Troup, Kellen Heard

OLB (5): Nick Barnett, Kirk Morrison, Nigel Bradham, Bryan Scott, Arthur Moats

ILB (2): Kelvin Sheppard, Tank Carder

CB (5): Aaron Williams, Stephon Gilmore, Terrence McGee, Ron Brooks, Justin Rogers

S (3): Jairus Byrd, George Wilson, Da'Norris Searcy

--

ST (3): Rian Lindell, Brian Moorman, Garrison Sanborn

Notable Cuts: Danny Batten, Leodis McKelvin, Spencer Johnson, Alex Carrington, Dwan Edwards.

Somewhat optimistically, this has the first six rounds of draft picks make the team. For the 7th round, UDFAs, and future UFAs and other teams' cuts, I think the biggest opportunities are for a fourth safety (currently unfilled since Scott can play both positions), DL depth (although I think we're likely to shed a lot of veteran this summer, like Edwards, Carrington, Johnson), ILB, and potentially, TE.

EDIT: Since this post was still on the first page when Florence got cut, I feel entitled to edit to reflect. But I'm disclosing here that I had Florence in and Moats out.

I don't know if I see us keeping 5 RB's total. I think either Choice or White gets cut after camp. And i'd list Bryan Scott as a SS first and a LB second. I also see Asper as making the PS or getting cut after camp. I don't think he makes the active roster. Other than that, I like it. As long as it's "at the moment". I'm hoping for some late signings (namely an upgrade to Thigpen).

Yeah, I think I could see us dropping an RB and a WR from this list for another DB and LB. Potentially another DT could make the team (Carrington?) also.

i would hope that alex carringto makes this team, and as a defensive end at that. i've seen some good things from him and would hope that going back to de (where he played in college, i beleive) would do him good. anyway, i'm rooting for this guy.

Ill eat my hate if Troup makes it. D Edwards, Carrington, S Johnson, and Heard were all better than him last year. I also don't see Moats getting let go, he is a good versitle guy and could play STs, or us keeping 4 rbs on the roster. So keep Moats let White go. Batten could make it as a DE over Eddins.

It's pretty interesting that there don't seem to be many spots open on this roster, even for a team than went 6-10 and finished last in their division.

I agree with others that we probably won't keep five RBs, and I'd probably list Scott as a S first.

I'm not sure I see Asper, Eddins, and Brooks making the final 53 -- probably PS for those guys. In their place, I would probably keep Moats and Carrington. I'm not a McKelvin fan, but he might also stick around one more year. It probably depends on how comfortable the coaches are with a rookie (Brooks).

I'm curious to see if Clowney can make the team, too -- and who would get cut because of it (probably between him and Hagan).

Not much room for any UDFAs on this roster, unless someone plays lights out.

OK here is my attempt at it.. Original Post pretty darn good I think, but I see some differences that I gotta fix. Time will tell, gotta make this 53 guys i guess:

QB (3): Ryan Fitzpatrick, Tyler Thigpen, Brad Smith

RB (3): Fred Jackson, CJ Spiller, Johnny White or Tashard Choice

FB (1): Corey McIntyre

WR (6): Stevie Johnson, David Nelson, Donald Jones, TJ Graham, Derek Hagan, Marcus Easley

TE (2): Scott Chandler, Mike Caussin or Fendi Onobun

OT (4): Chris Hairston, Erik Pears, Cordy Glenn, Zebrie Sanders

OG (4): Andy Levitre, Chad Rinehart, Kraig Urbik, Mark Asper or Michael Jasper

OC (1): Eric Wood

--

DE (4): Mario Williams, Shawne Merriman, Mark Anderson, Chris Kelsay

DT (5): Marcel Dareus, Kyle Williams, Dwan Edwards, Torrell Troup, Alex Carrington (basically doubles as 5th DT and 5th DE)

OLB (4): Nick Barnett, Kirk Morrison, Nigel Bradham, Tank Carder

ILB (2): Kelvin Sheppard, Chris White

CB (7): Aaron Williams, Stephon Gilmore, Terrence McGee, Drayton Florence, Leodis McKelvin, Ron Brooks, Justin Rogers,

S (4): Jairus Byrd, George Wilson, Da'Norris Searcy, Bryan Scott

--

ST (3): Rian Lindell, Brian Moorman, Garrison Sanborn

Ok This keeps our best 53, we have the money. Why not just keep our best 53?

Not that any of it really matters right now but unless there is a UDFA tight end that blows them away, I'd bet Lee Smith is the #2 TE.

The Bills were 6-10, not very good. But those were our guys last year. That was our team. We pulled for them. We were 100% behind them. Now we have some new guys that will push some of them. That's the game. Turnovers, churning of the the roster. But if they don't do it, the Bills go 6-10 again. Same guys; same results. I loved 'em, too.

This is a pretty good guess this early on.

I think Carrington, Leodis and Spencer Johnson stay. Chris White makes the team. Lee Smith is back-up TE

Eddins is PS. Either Choice or White get cut. Asper is PS. Rogers gets cut unless one of the CBs gets hurt.Caussin cut.

No way McKelvin gets cut....traded maybe, but not cut....Bleacher had him as the 40th CB in the league...that would be top half of second CB group.

Bleacher can have them wherever they want. Chan Gailey didn't have him in the starting lineup after the bye, and he was at best, 4th on the depth chart before we brought in two rookie DBs. He's relatively expensive compared to Brooks and Rogers, and has basically no trade value. He's probably not going to hang on as a punt return with Brad Smith's WR duties limited. I think he's gone.

Anyone putting Onubun over Lee Smith has no idea. Lee Smith was a steal from the Patriots last year; someone the Bills had supposedely wanted in last years draft and only in his 2nd year upcoming.

Spencer Johnson or Dwan will remain on the team because they are the best option we have when we need a 3-4 DT.

We will keep McIntyre for as much special teams as we will playing on offense, because I expect to see him in the next season more then before pushing holes for our RB trio.

They'll keep McKelvin over Rogers because he is a proven athlete.
