WhitewalkerInPhilly Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I'm a little shaky on our LB situation...but yeah, I think that Williams and Gilmore will be the successors of McGee and Florence. With that pair, plus the front four of Williams^2, Dareus, Anderson and Merriman I think we have fixed a lot of our biggest problems.
Lurker Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Neither will 75% of the current roster. Sadly, the pissers and moaners never go, however...
Ramius Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 This. If it's a contest to collect the most players, the Bills are looking good. But team building isn't Madden and requires a different type of mindset, one that a GM is supposed to have. I think Nix is fine as a regional or national scout. But as far as developing a plan to build an entire team, he's not done it. The switching of defenses proves this ad nauseam. You still haven't exlpained how the Bills were supposed to address both offense and defense at #10, like you bashed them for.
MDH Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Despite LT being a premium position another one hasn't been taken since pick #4 and we're on pick #23. Yet people still have panties in a bunch over not taking one?
SDS Posted April 27, 2012 Author Posted April 27, 2012 The entire NFL is populated by senile GMs who know nothing. How in the world can we go through 17 picks of the first round and have 4 DBs selected and only one OT? These guys don't know how to build a team. Much like the Aaron Rodgers watch - we are at 22 and counting.

GMs also need to look more than a year in advance at the roster, and as others have mentioned, it's likely that McGee, McKelvin & Florence are gone in 2013. Like it or not, CB was a key need this year and based on the players remaining at No. 10, Gilmore was the "no brainer" pick on any reasonable way to build a complete football team.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 According to his twitter he is happy to be a Bill
PromoTheRobot Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 According to his twitter he is happy to be a Bill He didn't look it. But hey, a couple mil will make him feel better. PTR
BuffaloATL Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 Do you think he was just nervous, or do you think he was upset about being drafted by Buffalo?
DanInUticaTampa Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I don't hate the gilmore pick, but I would have traded down and grabbed hightower.
26CornerBlitz Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 GIlmore adds intrigue to Bills' CB group http://www.profootba...-bills-cb-group
Jim in Anchorage Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 This guy looked very unhappy. I guess like some of the Bills fans.. Kuechly was my hope, damn you panthers damn you to hell.. Guy could have at lest ATTEMPTED a fake smile. Kind of ruined draft day for me seeing that sour look on his face.
Coach Tuesday Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 The Pats just showed how to knock it out of the park.
ExWNYer Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 This guy looked very unhappy. Apparently, he's not. Maybe all the junior psychologists on this board should find another line of work. He said on his conference call that it was his dream to be drafted into the NFL, it was a great feeling to be going to the Bills, he really liked Buffalo on his visit because it had a laid back feel to it like the town he was from, the Bills have great fans, and he's ready to get to work. Yeah, sounds like just the type of guy this team doesn't need. Talented and high character.
Over 29 years of fanhood Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 He didn't look it. But hey, a couple mil will make him feel better. PTR Guy doesn't seem to be emotional... See link http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=7807923
Rico Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 The Pats just showed how to knock it out of the park. Sad but true.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 can someone post a link to his conference call?
GG Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 The Pats just showed how to knock it out of the park. Good picks, but their DL got decimated last year and that's where they needed to add players.
