eball Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 For the first time in I-don't-know-how-long, we are actually going to see a training camp filled with hungry, talented players fighting not just for a starting position, but simply to make the team. There are going to be "big" veteran names on a cut list at the end of it all. Camp will be testy, and I expect to see lots of scuffles and skirmishes. The battles along both lines should be fierce. Forget the days of seeing a UDFA defensive lineman dominate in practice. Schitt, even Moorman is going to have stiff competition from the FSU punter. UDFAs with the best chance of making the roster? Corp (QB) and the punter. I don't think any of the position guys will even make it to final cuts. And that's a good thing. Camp will be fun to watch.
PromoTheRobot Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Nix said he wanted competition. Competition makes you better. PTR
The Cincinnati Kid Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 And it gives you a bunch of guys to go an get if/when players get injured. Like Reggie Corner and Naaman last year.
Just Jack Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Nix said he wanted competition. Competition makes you better. PTR Well that's not fair.
Doc Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 This is the first time in 3 straight years that I'll probably miss TC.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 This is the first time in 3 straight years that I'll probably miss TC. Well then you're never gonna be ready for the season opener. Where is your sense of commitment to the team?
Doc Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 Well then you're never gonna be ready for the season opener. Where is your sense of commitment to the team? Hey, I said "probably." I'm still working on it.
jimmy10 Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 We're traveling up to ROC to visit family for a week or so right when TC gets going. We'll definitely be stopping by. Can't wait!
