Fezmid Posted April 30, 2012 Posted April 30, 2012 This was in response to a bill that was passed to allow the sale/use of fireworks around the 4th of July - something neighboring states (like Wisconsin) already allow: http://www.startribune.com/politics/statelocal/149393315.html Specifically: He said in a veto letter, issued less than 90 minutes before the midnight deadline on Saturday, that it's "government's foremost responsibility to protect the safety and the well-being of its citizens." The silly part is that people just drive into Wisconsin, buy fireworks, and then bring them back to Minnesota to fire off.
