San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 The Bills signed Shawn Powell? This might be the end for Moorman.
FleaMoulds80 Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Wish we would've taken Chris Polk with our last pick.
Pirate Angel Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 The Bills signed Shawn Powell? This might be the end for Moorman. he most likely will be cut after preseason, everyone adds kickers and punters in the offseason so there main guys dont wear out there legs. However we cant ignore the fact that both Moorman and Lindell are getting up there in years we do need to keep our options open.
Lurker Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 It's going to be really tough for UDFA's to make this team, now that we're building some depth. A big WR is about the only spot I can see with an opening, and even that goes away if Easley has a good camp...

It sounds like the Bills might keep two kickers, and use Potter for kickoffs.

A big WR is about the only spot I can see with an opening, and even that goes away if Easley has a good camp... Agreed -- it's going to be tough enough to find spots for these draft picks. It's been a long time since I've seen a Bills roster that is so unfriendly to UDFAs, which is a good thing. I'm not even sure we need a big WR -- we need a fast one.

Powell reputedly has a very strong leg while Moorman has been on the decline. I think it might happen this year.
USABuffaloFan Posted April 29, 2012 Author Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Paul Madsen, OL, Colorado St http://www.nfldraftscout.com/ratings/dsprofile.php?pyid=14412&draftyear=2012&genpos=OT Agreed -- it's going to be tough enough to find spots for these draft picks. If you look at our list of freeagents it is very small and specific to position. Safety was the biggest position we picked up this year with this group. An extra linebacker, RB and punter for camp. This does tends to lean towards our players and us view our team as stacked with talent now and undrafted freeagents don't want to waste time coming here. This is a good thing!!!! Lurker Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 (edited) Powell reputedly has a very strong leg while Moorman has been on the decline. I think it might happen this year. Powell's "negative" according to PWF is "could stand to get in better shape." WTH does that mean for a punter? Yeah, he's an intriguing prospect that may pose the best challenge to Moorman we've seen in a while, which I suspect will have Brian working hard this offseason. Good... San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Here's something no one has mentioned yet. The NFL has expanded training camp rosters from 80 to 90. If the Bills are to meet that roster limit, they and other teams will have to sign well over 20 players. I think in years past, most teams signed about 15 UDFAs.
DefenseWinzChampionshipz Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 I'm simply loving the Delano Howell signing. The kid is rated to be the 17th best Safety out of 133 safeties I believe. He's quick, has good ball skills and has decent size. I believe it was Lurker who called him Whitner 2.0 ... I'm glad with that as an UDFA...
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Jake Drwal, WR, Lehigh Personally I'd prefer if the guys name was Sheetrock.
Kelly the Dog Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 Jake Drwal, WR, Lehigh Frankly, I have never heard of anyone with a northern Drwal.

Bud Adams Posted April 29, 2012 Posted April 29, 2012 http://lehighfootballnation.blogspot.com/2012/03/interesting-pro-day-at-lehigh-for-lum.html So if you're Brad Herman, TE, Iowa -- What are you thinking signing an UDFA contract with New England? Either not a lot of UDFAs want to sign with the Pats for whatever reason, or they think they're perfect.
