Packerland Bills Fan Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I wasn't jumping up and down over the Gilmore pick, but look at how the draft unfolded. So many teams needing OT's, yet only Reiff was taken after Kalil. If Buddy Nix is an idiot, then I guess he's got a lot of company in the league. Interesting that Reiff was considered to be another Bulaga and he ends up being taken at 23 just like Bulaga did. When was the last time 2 or less OT's were taken in the first round? There was supposed to be a lot of depth at WR in this draft and a number of them like Randle and Hill are still available. Again, Nix is thinking a lot like the other GM's in the league. Gilmore scares me a bit with his inconsistency, but he seems to be the best combination of value and need.
It's in My Blood Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 I think teams are taking more risks on players with the new rookie wage scale. Expect a run on tackles in round two.
deep2evans Posted April 27, 2012 Posted April 27, 2012 nix played the draft perfectly in regards to it's strengths and weaknesses. not surprised at all - he's a savvy guy.
