EZC-Boston Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 I loved him on Law and Order... http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/TV/12/29/o...h.ap/index.html.
Thailog80 Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 No not Briscoe? I liked him a lot on L a O
IDBillzFan Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 That completely and totally sucks. One of the few consistently good shows on TV, and he was in production for his own spinoff, which I was truly looking forward to. RIP Mr. Orbach. Lenny Brisco was a classic character.
stuckincincy Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 A very talented man, and he was known for his kindness and faith.
R. Rich Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Sad news. He was a terrific actor and will be missed. Law & Order just isn't the same without Lennie Briscoe.

Odifin Tutuola is my favorite character.

Sundays at 9pm, that's what I'm watching (unless the Bills are playing, that is). I do get a kick out of the contrasts in Chris Meloni's Elliott Stabler character compared to his Chris Keller character from Oz. In a prison full of sickos, Keller was easily the sickest, while Stabler is nothing like that. He's a goody two shoes compared to Keller.

I never cared for Richard Belzer until I watched SVU.

I never cared for Richard Belzer until I watched SVU. 183766 I've noticed that, too. I've seen JK Simmons (Schillinger on Oz), BD Wong (Martin, the Asian priest from Oz), the guys who played the O'Reilly brothers, the guy who played Toby Beecher, and the guy who played Morales on the Law & Order shows. There must be some connection between Fontana and Dick Wolf. I know Fontana worked on Homicide and I'm sure that's how Belzer ended up on SVU, but I can't place the Wolf/Fontana connection.
Rico Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 I've never seen Law And Order, but he was good in Dirty Dancing. RIP Jerry Orbach.
boomerjamhead Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 That picture of him sucks. I have never seen hm act in anything, but all I'll ever remember about him are those horible dentures. That's too bad since you guys seem to have a lot of respect for him and will truly miss him.
taterhill Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 I liked him as Monty Brewsters manager in Brewster's Millions....
LabattBlue Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Go to this link and wait for Jerry to come across the page.... http://www.nbc.com/Law_&_Order/index.html
Thurman's Helmet Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 It still blows me away that he was the voice (and singing voice) of Lumineire (spelling?) in Disney's Beauty and the Beast

Beerball Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 I was furloughed Dec 26th. 183859 Governor's holiday pardon program? You got of lightly! RIP Jerry, a great character actor.
Dan Gross Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 That's too bad. I could never find myself reconciling the fact that Lenny Brisco, the dad from Dirty Dancing (my wife likes the movie) and Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast were all the same guy.... Good actor.
