Funny...but no big deal. They're required to list all defendants in the court filing so they can get clear title to the property. That they happen to be one of the defendants is irrelevant.

 

Now, if they didn't settle out of court (quit-claim the second to themselves or something), but instead ended up defending themselves against themselves in front of the bench...THAT would be stupid.
