CSBill Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 WHich game do you guys think will be in Toronto? it will probably be the Pats in December
Cereal Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 (edited) You are correct. However in 2010 the NFL made a ruling regarding NFL teams playing against teams in the AFC/NFC West divisions. When a specific division is scheduled to play the entire West division, the teams will only travel once to the Pacific coast. Strength of schedule games being the one exception. Example: last season the Bills were originally scheduled to play road games in San Diego & Oakland. Due to this new ruling the Bills traveled to San Diego and Kansas City, and Oakland traveled to Buffalo. From now on when teams play the AFC West they will have road games against Kansas City/San Diego or Denver/Oakland. If they play the NFC West they will have road games against Arizona/San Francisco or Saint Louis/ Seattle. It is a strange rule, but that's how they want it. Interesting, thanks for this post. So... For the first half of the season, the state of Arizona is three hours behind Buffalo because the state does not observe Daylight Savings Time. Does this mean that Miami and Buffalo (who both play @SF and @AZ) would for sure play @AZ after DST ends on Nov. 4? For what it's worth, I did check this schedule leak, and we are @AZ in September (three-hour difference) and the Fish are @AZ in December (two-hour difference). So... what's the point of the policy Vader outlined above if we still travel "three hours" for both of our away non-conference games? Also, it seems like logistically they should certainly be able to schedule it so that we rotate @SEA and hosting Seattle. I guess that this true "fair" rotation would have been set in place starting in 2010 then, so things wouldn't necessarily be continuous with 2008. Edited April 9, 2012 by Cereal
thebug Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 What? it's fake? I just booked all my hotel rooms for the season.
bbb Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 I knew something was up when it said we play in the Superdome on February 3, 2013.
BillsFan-4-Ever Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 Obvious fake. We play the Pats after their bye, not ours. That was the trend but it was broken last season ... maybe even in 2010 and a week 5 bye is too damn early 3 srtaight home games in December?? - it will never happen
Just Jack Posted April 10, 2012 Posted April 10, 2012 and a week 5 bye is too damn early But not unusual. Last season the bye weeks went from Week 5 to Week 11 (except for Week 10). http://espn.go.com/nfl/schedule/_/year/2011#1 3 srtaight home games in December?? - it will never happen http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/144319-2012-buffalo-bills-schedule-leak/page__view__findpost__p__2432587
