CowgirlsFan Posted April 5, 2012 Author Posted April 5, 2012 What was his heart attached to? oops!! Heart attack.
Best Player Available Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 In other girls news. Romo still sucks and cannot win in the post season.
Tipster19 Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 Oooh, I don't like hearing about the heart attack thing! I'm wondering, wasn't he one of the coaches that got seriously injured when Dallas' practice facility collapsed from that windstorm?

sweatpantsjoe Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 As much as I hated those Cowboys teams for obvious reasons, I always thought he seemed like a nice guy. RIP.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 As much as I hated those Cowboys teams for obvious reasons, I always thought he seemed like a nice guy. RIP. Yep. One of the few Cowboys icons who didn't elicit feelings of negativity. (Sorry CowgirlsFan!) RIP, Joe.
Beerball Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Oooh, I don't like hearing about the heart attack thing! I'm wondering, wasn't he one of the coaches that got seriously injured when Dallas' practice facility collapsed from that windstorm? No, he wasn't retained when Parcells took over. As you know, Parcells doesn't allow his coaches to talk with the media and that just wouldn't work with Coach Joe. He loved to talk and he really loved football. He frequented the Cowboy's pre & post game shows after he left the NFL. Quite a character.
Pilsner Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 (edited) Who does not recall seeing him on the sidelines? He's a man I've never had any animosity towards. I have a feeling he's missed by many loyal Cowboys fans. RIP Mr. Avezzano. And thank you for contributing to the sport we are fanatics of/about. Edited April 6, 2012 by Pilsner
reddogblitz Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 (edited) Sorry to hear about Joe (Cowboy's HyperActive Special Teams Coach) Avezzano. Also former head coach of the Dallas Desperados. I remember I ran a 5 mile run in the West End once and Coach Joe started the race with the traditional "ready, set, GO !!" He seemed like nice guy even though he worked for a not very nice guy. Nanker Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 Hat over heart. A moment of silence for coach Joe. Peace
