As great as Parcells was in the 80's and 90's his last two stops over the last decade (Cowboys and Dolphins) haven't yielded much success. He was 34-30 with the Cowboys with a 0-2 record in the playoffs. The Dolphins had one good year with Parcells as their football wartime consigliere as they went from 1-15 to 11-5 in his first season. But the last two years he was with the Fins they yielded a pair of 7-9 seasons and he didn't leave the roster in very good shape as they just underwent a 6-10 season after he left.

I think Minny should allow Fraizer to have one more crack at the job. He had a rough first season but hey they needed to rebuild. They have a young QB with potential, they are going to draft a highly possible franchise LT 3rd overall. Their defense has some parts as well. Its something that Minny has to be patient with as oppose to looking for a quick fix.

Actually his career had the one high point with 2 SBs with the Giants and then it's been all downhill from there. His next stop was New England where he got to the SB and lost. Then on to the Jets with no SB appearances. Then to the Cowboys with 2 playoff seasons and no playoff wins. Then to the Fish (As GM or whatever) and got the playoffs once and lost and then sucked the next couple of years.

The bit with Minnesota is just to drive his price up. Either they offer him something he can't turn down, or it makes the Saints give him more.
