Original Byrd Man Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Heard on GR55 news report the Eagles are reported to be looking to move Samuels for a 3rd round pick. Not the youngest guy around but still a solid corner. He would be a definate upgrade over McGee.
Malazan Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Heard on GR55 news report the Eagles are reported to be looking to move Samuels for a 3rd round pick. Not the youngest guy around but still a solid corner. He would be a definate upgrade over Whitner. Fixed it for you.
DefenseWinzChampionshipz Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 I don't want him. Whether he can play or not. I'd rather take our chances with Buddy and folk finding a nice young talent with the 3rd round pick...
Original Byrd Man Posted March 28, 2012 Author Posted March 28, 2012 Fixed it for you. Wasn't knocking McGee, but it has been a long time since he has started and finished a season. and I'm sure you know Samuels is a corner, not a safety.
KollegeStudnet Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Samuel has a huge 9.5 million base contract this year, I say let the Eagles cut him... In order for the Eagles to get any trade hits, he'll have to restructure his contract!
K-9 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Wasn't knocking McGee, but it has been a long time since he has started and finished a season. and I'm sure you know Samuels is a corner, not a safety. Old corners become safeties. I think that's where he was going in that post. No thanks on Samuels anyway. Williams and Rogers both bring more to the table at this point and there's a good chance they'll draft another CB at 10. Samuels is an aging CB that's only had success as a zone coverage DB. He may be finished. GO BILLS!!!
It's in My Blood Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Yea....no. His best years are behind him.
marauderswr80 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Its a gamble....but id rather gamble to see if he gets cut first and then go from there. The way i see it...this franchise is not far away from contending and giving away draft picks is not the way to go. But....what if the bills found a way to get another 3rd for trading down in the draft? We could get samuel for pretty much nothing!
DrDawkinstein Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Wasnt a great idea 3 days ago. Still isnt. http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/143859-samuel/page__p__2421604__hl__samuel__fromsearch__1#entry2421604
benderbender Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 A. Samuel = Dante Hall. Overrated but will catch balls when Cutler throws 4 at your chest

Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 why does everyone always want to trade this guy? that's kind of a red flag to me.
Malazan Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 Wasn't knocking McGee, but it has been a long time since he has started and finished a season. and I'm sure you know Samuels is a corner, not a safety. I meant McKelvin. Either way, not a player I'd want.
stinky finger Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 why does everyone always want to trade this guy? that's kind of a red flag to me. The Iggles are always looking to turn a player over .....before it's over for the player.
Joaquin1119 Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 i dont know why some ppl think he is useless now. he only 31 yrs old like McGee.
Hapless Bills Fan Posted March 29, 2012 Posted March 29, 2012 why does everyone always want to trade this guy? that's kind of a red flag to me. That's cinchy I think - he wants to be paid That's also 9.5 million reasons why the Iggles will find it tough sledding to line up a taker

Asked for a third which means probably take a 4th or 5th he is a solid player id rather take a proven player then someone we could miss on anyway.
