Solomon Grundy Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 This Wednesday's USC Pro Day could prove very significant into whom the Bills take with their first 2 selections in the 2012 draft. Will the Bills add another pass rushing specialist like Melvin Ingram, a shutdown corner in Stephon Gilmore, or a playmaking WR in Alshon Jeffrey? Jeffrey being the X-factor, if he runs a 4.4/4.5 40 I would be happy with Ingram/Gilmore in the first and Jeffrey in the 2nd. I would like your thoughts?
BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I like all three of those guys. If Jeffrey makes it to our pick in the 2nd, and barring any WR move in the first, he's a slam dunk to be the pick.
Johnny Hammersticks Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I like all three of these players, especially Gilmore who I hope slides to us in the 2nd round. Do you think we can rule out Melvin Ingram at this point though? I just don't think we take a player at #10 to fill a position at which we already have a great deal of depth and two starters. I just don't think Ingram's talents would be best suited for 4-3 OLB. What do you all think?
billsfan905 Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 It's SC not USC, but regardless I think it'll be interesting to see how Jeffrey runs his 40, also would like to see if he's lost his Andre Smith look from earlier in the year
White Linen Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 Jeffrey being the X-factor, if he runs a 4.4/4.5 40 If he runs a 4.4, he won't be there in the second. So you might wish he runs slower.

Dr. Fong Posted March 26, 2012 Posted March 26, 2012 I like all three of these players, especially Gilmore who I hope slides to us in the 2nd round. I think it's more likely that he will be the pick at 10 as it is that he will slide to the Bills in the 2nd.

I live here and my son attends USC. It confused me at first, but now I'm used to it.

I cant wait to see how Alshon responds to all the Heat and skepticism. Personally, I hope he slides to us in the second rd, and we pick up Gilmore in the first, but thats just me being a homer. Wherever they go I believe all 3 of the highly touted Gamecocks will do very well.

CarolinaBill Posted March 27, 2012 Posted March 27, 2012 (edited) Some boards have Gilmore rated higher than Kirkpatrick Just a point of reference here, kirkpatrick was BURNED by everyones new fav whipping boy, Alshon Jeffrey, to the tune of 7 catches for 127 yds and 2 tds. NOw if he cant keep up with Alshon, do you REALLY want him trying to keep up with Holmes, Welker, etc I'll take Gilmore Breakdown stats Edited March 27, 2012 by CarolinaBill
CarolinaBill Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 NFL Network will have coverage from USC @ 6 pm

John Cocktosten Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Well, we know Buddy likes those SEC players... novel approach
MikeSpeed Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 The local radio station here in SC said that only a handful of teams have scouts here? Can anyone confirm if the Bills are one?
LynchMob23 Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 Alshon got a 4.38 on his first 40 attempt per Kevin Wedl, ESPN.
aristocrat Posted March 28, 2012 Posted March 28, 2012 4.38 is blazing...kid just bumped himself back into the 1st.
