Eric/Hawaii Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 I read this article on the TBD front page and thought what? he talks about how the rams are playing for nothing. The rams are in the same boat as the Bills, win and some help for other teams and they're in. not sure where he got his sources. tonawanda news
Alaska Darin Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 Not sure where he got his sources.tonawanda news 182135[/snapback] Probably a Patriots message board. If the fans who represent them here are any indication, they sure know alot about football.
BRH Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 Looks like he wrote the article before the game last night and assumed the Rams would lose.
SteelersOwnYou Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 The 14-1 Steelers have already locked up home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. Rookie QB Ben Roethlisberger, who suffered a rib injury in Pittsburgh's 20-7 in over the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday, is likely to be rested against the Bills. Pittsburgh coach Bill Cowher will probably limit the playing time for many of his other starters as well Sunday. The Steelers don't care about this game. For them, the regular season is over. The season they care about is their postseason, which will begin with a home game at Heinz Field on Jan. 15 or 16. And that game could be against the Bills, should the Bills get in as the No. 6 seed. If Buffalo is seeded sixth, it would travel to Indianapolis to meet the rested Colts on Jan. 8 or 9. A win against Indy would send the Bills to Pittsburgh, which has a first-round bye, the following weekend. That's the game that the Steelers are already focused on. Sunday's game is annoying trip at holiday time, kind of like a visit to the in-laws. You may be there in body, but not in spirit. What a well thought out and well written article.. Think I'll send a supporting e-mail about his article. Where's this guy's emmy(or whatever writers get)

Eric/Hawaii Posted December 28, 2004 Author Posted December 28, 2004 Did you even get the point of the post? I'm glad you support you team but hello, this post is about how the writer of the article doesn't understand the playoff situation between the rams and the jets. nothing to do with the stillers. Fan in San Diego Posted December 28, 2004 Posted December 28, 2004 He hedged his bet by saying IF the Rams have nothing to play for. He must have wrote the article before the Monday night game. They should at least re-update the article since the Rams won and put the fresher perspective on the slant.
