It's in My Blood Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I think Tebow is a great person and he can be a player in this league, but as a poster stated on another thread, he is too much of a distraction. Do you really want Tebowmania running wild in Buffalo? I hope we pass.
DC Tom Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 What would we give up for Tebow? We could trade Mario Williams for him...he's overpaid.
Joe Miner Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I thought we were trying to build a winning team?
need therapy Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Because the guy CAN'T THROW A !@#$ING FOOTBALL FROM THE BEACH AND HIT THE OCEAN. Part of being a backup QB requires you to be able to throw a football with slightly more accuracy than the fat drunk guy in Row 3, Seat 5. Tebow is a great guy, a great team player and a running back trying desperately to be a QB. Yeah, there's no way that Buddy will give up something to get Tebow. He's not a better option than Thigpen. Being a good guy, good teammate and very dedicated only gets you so far at QB. You need accuracy and a quick delivery. The Fish are desperate and they will sign him over Alex Smith to put fannies in the seats. This bodes well for the Bills for years to come.
PromoTheRobot Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 I thought we were trying to build a winning team? Some people would prefer we be a circus sideshow. PTR
Wayne Cubed Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 well looks like the MODS are going to have really be on top of this tebow mania... can we combine this into one thread already?
Dorkington Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Combine them, and place the thread elsewhere. I won't be able to handle this ****.
eball Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Please God, no. Funny, that's almost the exact same thing I replied to Sal Maiorana's tweet suggesting the Bills should cut Brad Smith and sign Tebow. Only I said, "good god, no."
DC Tom Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Yeah, there's no way that Buddy will give up something to get Tebow. He's not a better option than Thigpen. I disagree. While I think Tebow is a lousy quarterback, it's hard to be a worse option than Thigpen.
26CornerBlitz Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 > So...why not have Buffalo sign the guy as a backup to Fitz. because he's a huge distraction and not a very good quarterback That is dead correct!!!
DC Tom Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Funny, that's almost the exact same thing I replied to Sal Maiorana's tweet suggesting the Bills should cut Brad Smith and sign Tebow. Only I said, "good god, no." Why would they replace their #2 receiver with a quarterback?
Mike in Syracuse Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Signing Tebow would set this franchise back 5 years. He's a heavier version of Brad Smith with less accuracy.
Búfalo Blanco Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 For the love of God, please no! But God loves Tebow...
DrDawkinstein Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Tebow is a much better option than Thigpen. If we can get him for a 4th or 5th, then go for it. He'll be much better than any QB we draft that late. Let Gailey and Lee work with him, while he backs up Fitz.
Mike in Syracuse Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) I'd imagine this would be Gailey's reaction upon being told they're bringing in Tim Tebow. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=umDr0mPuyQc Edited March 19, 2012 by Mike in Syracuse
BillsRUs Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 But God loves Tebow... LOl yes...what would it take to trade for God's favor??
KnightRider Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) > So...why not have Buffalo sign the guy as a backup to Fitz. because he's a huge distraction and not a very good quarterback I don't want Tebow anywhere near the Bills... Edit - What Mike said. Edited March 19, 2012 by KnightRider
Joe Miner Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Because the guy CAN'T THROW A !@#$ING FOOTBALL FROM THE BEACH AND HIT THE OCEAN. Maybe he should turn around?
DC Tom Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 Tebow is a much better option than Thigpen. Tebow is a better option than Thigpen. He is, however, a worse option than Johnny Unitas.
