SageAgainstTheMachine Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 (edited) and Yards do not equal Points. only stat that matters is the score at the end of the game. They do correlate very closely. You don't move the ball, you don't score. Denver's defense has been winning them games, and Tebow has chipped in with timely plays. Good for him. Any young QB who shows that sort of poise can't be written off. I still need proof that he can move the ball consistently. Edited November 20, 2011 by SageAgainstTheMachine

But you can't deny that the story SHOULD be Von Miller and the Broncos D. They've stepped up their game. I give credit to Tebow for not making mistakes and messing it all up, but the Denver offense has been stagnant with Tebow under center. I can agree with that. Im not giving Tebow all (or even most) of the credit for the wins. But he does bring something to the field that gives them an extra spark that they just didnt have under Orton. Teams need that. Similarly, I believe it's what Merriman brought to our team that we have been missing for the past few weeks. Even if he wasn't putting up numbers, he brought an intensity that caused our other players to step up. Since he's been out, we've been pretty flat.

I don't weight them as heavily as some, but I think a winning attitude, the spark, plays a role. The only thing I've ever objected to is that the media tends to forget Tebow's teammates (and that includes all the other impressive young men at UF). DrFishfinder Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Just keeps winning A concept so foreign to this FO that our next starting QB and coach will probably be a moose and a squirrel from Whatsamatta U. Denver on a 4 game winning streak, Bills on a 4 game los......ahhhh forget it.
Bills!Win! Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Where is the Tebow emoticon on these forums? :Tebowing

Something the team had early in the season but has disappeared. Dropped passes, dropped interceptions, bone headed penalties, missed tackles and on and on and on.
papazoid Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Referees created instant replay so they could admire Tim Tebow more than once.
Thoner7 Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 He had a handful of drops again today, and a few sick plays called back bc of penalties. Numbers will never do Tebow justice, but he does win.

NoSaint Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 Hasn't he led them on game winning drives in several of these past 5 wins? I didn't see the jets game but thought I heard minus the first and last drive, the longest was 7yards
Buffalo Barbarian Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 I didn't see the jets game but thought I heard minus the first and last drive, the longest was 7yards That's all that matters.
thebug Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 That's all that matters. The BRONCOS won the game, not Tebow. They could actually do something if they had a real QB cause their D is pretty good.

thebug Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 just like when Orton was starting. I said a real QB.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted November 28, 2011 Author Posted November 28, 2011 I said a real QB. still winning.
thebug Posted November 28, 2011 Posted November 28, 2011 still winning. I'm with Elway. This guy is going nowhere..... NFL QB's need to be good passers, he is not. Sorry, maybe you can get the tat removed? The team is winning. He just happens to be the QB.
