/dev/null
I blame the city for not having railing all the way around the pier. She should sue Is it just me or did none of the people walking by even notice her fall in? They saw it but didn't help because they were too busy Tweeting what they just saw
DC Tom
She should sue They saw it but didn't help because they were too busy Tweeting what they just saw She actually can swim...she was just to busy updating her Facebook status to "Like, OMG, in Lake Michigan!" to save herself. It boggles my mind how many people don't know how to swim. It boggles my mind how many people don't know how to float...
Cugalabanza
Mr. Magoo Nation. Actually, the safest way to be is completely oblivious. Everyone else then endagers themselves getting out of your way and then ultimately rescuing you from danger. This is the strange de-evolutionary phenomenon of the total invincibility of morons. Look around where you work. You will see it all around you.
bbb
I wish there was a camera angle that showed this guy's face when he almost walked into this bear: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7h2dsRUZly8

bbb
Some idiot almost walked right into me last - we were the only ones on the sidewalk for a mile and I'm trying to make a little noise as I'm approaching, but he was so involved on his cell phone, he was almost as startled as this guy. I saw him again five minutes later, the same way.
CowgirlsFan
I will confess. I almost rear ended a parked truck a few months ago while texting. One other time, I looked up and discovered I had walked one extra block north before making my turn to walk east. Thank heavens these aren't busy streets!! Jim in Anchorage
Chef...... I don't text and drive. This happened while I was WALKiNG. The lady was walking on the pier and I was walking in the street. It's not called "rear ending" a truck while walking. It's called "walking into a truck". Are you SURE the street's not busy, or you just never noticed?
