HopsGuy Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I was going to say where Henry and Karen enter the Cocacabana, but since "Goodfellas" was already mentioned, how about Colonel Jessup's disdain for Lieutenant Caffey? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hGvQtumNAY
Kelly the Dog Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 From one of my favorite movies of all time, "Diner" youtube.com/watch?v=qXjCtgiUEu8 Funny you should use that movie because when I first saw the thread, my first thought was the sandwich scene from Diner. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F3QANzPkkR4

This flick was so influential on things like "Seinfeld"....Guttenberg is Costanza all over... and Micky Rourke was so cool in that movie... "Boogie...Sintra or Mathis?" Boogie: "Elvis"

Here's a great (long) piece from Vanity Fair on how Diner changed the dialogue driven genre: http://www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2012/03/diner-201203

Blessed is he who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. Mark Vader Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 I have so many favorite movie scenes to choose from so I will start with this one. I know it's a long scene, but it's fantastic. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9pZpcxodf4 Alfred Molina & Thomas Jane are great.
Buftex Posted March 21, 2012 Posted March 21, 2012 (edited) Alfred Molina & Thomas Jane are great. Great scene from the theater of the uncomfortable....here is another from "Straight Time" with Dustin Hoffman, Gary Busey, Harry Dean Stanton...rarely seen crime flick, but worth searching for: Edited March 21, 2012 by Buftex
