mEAz Posted February 1, 2012 Posted February 1, 2012 I can't believe all the Jers posts either...they have no cap room to sign Manning...best guesses would be Miami, San Fran, or Arizona
thewildrabbit Posted February 2, 2012 Author Posted February 2, 2012 (edited) UPDATE: Manning is "medically" cleared to play again. ThurmasThoman Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 we should get him. the guy is the best to ever do it. let's roll the dice again like we did with bledsoe. i would say we could win the super bowl NEXT YEAR with manning under center. that offense? wheeeeeeew. we'd be something else. we'd look at a lot like the patriots this year: you could put wide outs in our secondary and we could still make the championship. idk. id be excited as hell if we traded for him.

Hahahahaha that was hilarious! Oh wait you were serious
NoSaint Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I think it's a 70% possibility the Bills will be playing against Manning twice next year, with MIA the most likely and NYJ the second most likely. He won't go to a team with O-Line needs, and will go to a place that's warm or indoors. And based on that you say jets, eh?
QB Bills Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 we should get him. the guy is the best to ever do it. let's roll the dice again like we did with bledsoe. i would say we could win the super bowl NEXT YEAR with manning under center. that offense? wheeeeeeew. we'd be something else. we'd look at a lot like the patriots this year: you could put wide outs in our secondary and we could still make the championship. idk. id be excited as hell if we traded for him. as crazy as it sounds, i'm with you here there's a possibility that this team won't be in buffalo for too much longer and it would be great if they just went all-in for the next couple of years again, its probably just a pipe dream, as i doubt he'd want to come here and may not be the same player anyway, but if those two points didn't apply, i think the bills would be stupid not to give up the farm to get him i've always thought he was the best qb in the game and could have done a lot more with a better team and better coaching around him, but my opinion of his talent shot up exponentially this year with how pathetic the colts were without him...i don't think its a stretch to say he's the most talented qb to play the game in the last 30 years it would still be a longshot to win the super bowl, as so many other things have to fall into place, but i think we'd be a contender...he's the one player you can say makes that much of a difference
miserable_fan Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 why would the bills want to pursue the greatest quarterback of all time? We only overpay for mediocrity
It's in My Blood Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 According to Armando Salgaro of the Miami Herald, apparently Manning loves South Florida, namely Miami. He purchased a condo on South Beach within the past 12 months. Also, the Fins have made it known to various sport reporters that they will pursue Manning hard if he becomes a free agent.

thewildrabbit Posted February 9, 2012 Author Posted February 9, 2012 Interesting article, talks about what everyone is STILL speculating about http://www.sbnation.com/nfl/2012/2/9/2786781/peyton-manning-rumors-free-agency-indianapolis-colts Should pursue him: Dolphins, Jets, Browns, Broncos, Chiefs, Redskins, Cardinals and Seahawks Makes some sense but unlikely to happen: Bills, Ravens, Titans, Jaguars, Cowboys, Vikings, Bucs and 49ers. BUFFALO BILLS:" They make sense in the fact that Manning would drastically improve their team (like he would do with a lot of teams). But it takes two to marry which means not only would the Bills have to be interested but Manning would have to be interested in Buffalo. I don't see that happening". Not to mention the WR corps stinks, the O line stinks! The only part of this marriage that might be feasible is that the HC- play caller loves to call plays like he has Peyton Manning behind center. Frankly, I just don't see Manning coming to Buffalo of his own accord...unless the owner offered him part of the team...maybe. looking more and more like the Dolphins...

Please let hope it is the Dolphins and not the Bills!! Manning still has no velocity, can't feel ball. PTR

papazoid Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 Meanwhile, reports on Manning's progress continue to emerge. On a podcast on the website Grantland, Bill Simmons talked with the NFL Network's Mike Lombardi. Lombardi reported that Manning isn't close to his old form after three neck surgeries. "He can't throw the ball," Lombardi said. "I've talked to people who've caught the ball for him. He can't throw the ball to his left. He can't throw the ball across his body, because he doesn't feel it. People that catch the ball for him say he doesn't really have velocity on the ball yet." Former Colts vice chairman Bill Polian on Thursday called such reports "untrue," speaking on Sirius XM NFL Radio Wednesday. Polian says he saw Manning throw on New Year's Eve with "quick release, good zip" under 25 yards. Doctors have said for months that Manning nerves must regenerate before he will be back to full strength. They have said no one can predict when that will happen. http://content.usatoday.com/communities/thehuddle/post/2012/02/report-peyton-manning-cant-throw-the-ball-in-workouts/1
Gordio Posted February 10, 2012 Posted February 10, 2012 A reporter in Indy is saying PM has a "Noodle Arm". I tred telling you guys this last week. Manning is done. It is one thing to be medically cleared to play, quite another to have a viable NFL Arm which he does not possess anymore. At best I see him sitting out 2012 & trying for a comeback in 2013. Even that is a longshot though.

Think of the season ticket sales while we sail to 0-16 and the #1 pick! PTR Edited February 10, 2012 by PromoTheRobot
