LynchMob23 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Is this the perfect time to have more cash on the way with the tv deal, or what? We FINALLY have some young players that we want to try to keep, and perhaps otherwise we would not have been able to do so. The money and cap increase will give us more flexibility than we would have had otherwise. It's actually quite awesome that we'll have the chance to not let any FAs leave that they want, and want to honestly be here. Just a great great thing there.
CSBill Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 There are some players like Kelsay, Dwan Edwards, and Spencer Johnson, Brad Smith that are eating up some cash to be used on both. Going to the 4-3 Dwan is expendable Spencer Johnson is getting old and while he is a good 4-3 alternate we have heard and troupe (who could also walk) and carrington can play inside while I like kelsay he is 32 and overpaid he can go to keep these 2 Brad Smith needs to show something for that 16mil contract Theres money there to make these deals happen everything that he said
DukeyBomb Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Byrd all day. Lineman are easier to find than ball hawking safeties like him that can tackle.
Maddog69 Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Levitre in a second. I love Byrd but you build from the lines out. That has always been my philosophy Exactly. Levitre should be an anchor on our line for a decade. Byrd is a nice player but it much more easily replaceable.
John Cocktosten Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 I like Byrd a lot and I expect him to have a monster year if we add another pass rusher and everyone can stay healthy. But when you have a dominant interior lineman who can play every position (outside of center) you keep him. Gotta go with Levitre.
mattsox Posted March 20, 2012 Posted March 20, 2012 Levitre in a second. I love Byrd but you build from the lines out. That has always been my philosophy Agreed. Unless Byrd has a career year this season...
