The Senator Posted March 18, 2012 Posted March 18, 2012 (edited) But Lloyd has made clear since before he became a free agent that New England was where he wanted to go, and if the reports that he signed for $12 million over three years are true, then he took less money to play for the Patriots. That shows how badly he wants to be a Patriot, and how ready he is to get to work in New England. http://profootballta...in-new-england/ Yeah...and he's gonna really love it there when the team* tanks this season, and the entire fair-weather fan* base boos 'em* all off the field GO BILLSSS!!!! papazoid Posted March 19, 2012 Author Posted March 19, 2012 (edited) Larry Holder of CBS Sports reports that the Saints will host defensive tackle Brodrick Bunkley for a free agent visit on Sunday. It’s Bunkley’s first known visit since the signing period began last Tuesday. Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune took the time to examine where other outlets had Bunkley rated in the 2012 free agency class. SI’s Peter King had him as the No. 10 overall free agent. CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco rated Bunkley 24th. We had him 53rd. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2012/03/17/saints-hosting-bunkley-and-other-free-agent-defensive-tackle-notes/ Edited March 19, 2012 by papazoid
NoSaint Posted March 19, 2012 Posted March 19, 2012 You think Bunkley is better than everyone available on the list? All 28 guys that are still available and ranked higher might be better. There are a few wrs, LTs and CBs on that list that are all ranked higher and are positions of need. Paying a backup 5-7 mill just doesn't make sense when we still have serious holes (lt, Wr, lb and even cb). Pass Not my fav but 3rd DT will likely get a ton of reps. I wouldn't just say backup.
