Like A Mofo Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Stevestojan's post about the Super Bowl made me think of this, its getting close to the home stretch in MLB. What are your World Series Predictions and how many games? Edit: Shoot I forgot to add mine!! I know T-80 and the rest of my Yankee friends here will be disappointed but: Chicago Cubs over Oakland in 6 games
gantrules Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Braves v. A's.....Braves in 6 If you don't think we are for real ask the NL West....whom we just complete a 13-4 series against. Also the Braves have a .735 winning percentage in their last 60 games.....don't look past them....
taterhill Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Cubs in 6 over the Twins(riding nasty Johan Santana, but he runs out of gas against the Cubs Horses)

BF_in_Indiana Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 HAHAHAHAHA. I read three posts in this thread and none of them have any merit to them. Cubs, Braves????? Give me a break. We already waxed the Braves, and have beaten the Cubs down like our ugly stepchild all year. The Cardinals are going to the World Series, I know that's tough for some of you to admit, but it's a done deal..........
gantrules Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Waxed them???? In a three game series.....whoopie. The Cards are the team I fear most....and more than likely we will face in the Championship series.
Nervous Guy Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Boston in 7 over Cardinals 13089 whataya think this is 1918???
gantrules Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 BTW, guarantees are about the worst things to post.....because they RARELY come true. And when that happens you won't be able to forget about it.

BF_in_Indiana Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 I'm not afraid to post a guarantee about the Cardinals. We have by a long ways the best team in the league. The Braves won't make the Championship Series........it's one and done for them.

Jason Marquis. Yep, Im $haking in my boots thinking about that rotation. Lineup and defense I agree, they are the best. Sure they can go to the WS, lets see if the Cards prove me wrong with their starting pitching
gantrules Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 One and done???? Try thirteen division championships in a row, try 1995 WS champs. Have a little respect for team that have been better than the Cards for a longgggggg time. Interesting isn't it that if your team is SOOOO much better than the Braves why have the Cards gone 45-15 over their last 60 and the Braves have gone 44-16???? Pull your head out of your ass and look at the numbers before making a post like an idiot.
Nervous Guy Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Pull your head out of your ass and look at the numbers before making a post like an idiot. 13144 First, that's impossible for BF, they are one and the same....second, it wouldn't help.
BF_in_Indiana Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Time will tell, but our staff is good enough...........I've watched them all year. They have been superb.
Tony P Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Lot of talk over nuthin'. Repeat of 1991: Twins over Braves in 7. Bonus pick: Johan Santana wins the AL CY.
BF_in_Indiana Posted August 31, 2004 Posted August 31, 2004 Wow 45-15??? And 44-16.......... Who is 86-44????? Who is 10 games behind that pace???? Atlanta will not make it past the first round.
