Deep2Moulds46 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Shefter just tweeted 3 teams have talked to Manningham, and buff is one of them
Chilly Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Let's grab the Super Mario Bros! Would like to pair up Stevie with Manningham
Jerry Christ Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 seems like we actually want to win...........get it done.
Deep2Moulds46 Posted March 14, 2012 Author Posted March 14, 2012 Other 2 teams SF and Mia.... Let the "Mario Brothers' references begin

1billsfan Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 His first gig was supposed to be Tampa but they signed Vincent Jackson. Other than height, this is the perfect fit. If Easley's better than him, then we have Manningham play the slot! Wow, this is exciting stuff!
Homey D. Clown Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I made a comment in a vincent jackson thread tearly on hat I thought the Bills would be better off with Manningham, I think the guy is vastly under-rated.
Dorkington Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I hope! Wonder if he would be swayed by a Williams deal... see that we're serious about making waves!
SDS Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 If we ever get to 9-7, this guy will be worth his weight in gold.
Buftex Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Let's grab the Super Mario Bros! Would like to pair up Stevie with Manningham Green eggs and Green Manningham...or something like that!

LabattBlue Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Uh.. so where does that leave David Nelson? One of our best receivers? Right where he excels...in the slot!
Punch Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I like Manningham, but at 5'11" 178 lbs he's not quite the big physical receiver that can make plays and "get open even when he's not open", right?

Bottom line...the Bills need playmakers. He may not have the skill set that Meachem has and the Bills desire, but they need guys who can step in and play come September. Not a bunch of guys who are better suited for WR 4-5-6, or a draft choice that may take several years to develop.
8-8 Forever? Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Other 2 teams SF and Mia.... Let the "Mario Brothers' references begin They're just using the Bills to up the ante from the others. Come on, guys, we've all seen this movie before.....at least there isn't any snow on the ground

Not a bunch of guys who are better suited for WR 4-5-6, or a draft choice that may take several years to develop. Exactly. Size would be nice but we have size. All we need from the #2 is a guy that can stretch the field a little and make some plays so the defense has to watch and sometimes worry about him. I'm not a huge Manningham fan but he fits that bill. We don't even need the #2 to put up big #2 numbers, we just need a guy that can be a reliable option so the defense has to worry about Stevie, #2, Nelson, Chandler, Freddy, and Spiller and Brad Smith thrown in. Easley could also be our big guy. Manningham would be fine.
Billshank Redemption Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 We need recover depth especially at #2 I'll take it
Shouldaplayedflutie99 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 If he gets an offer from sf, a superbowl caliber team that he faced first hand, I'm sure he would like to be there. IMO
MichFan Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Not sure Manningham is worth the $ he will command. As a UMich fan, of all the alumni receivers in the NFL, I still wish Jason Avant would end up in a Bills uniform. Eagles underutilize the guy.
