BuffaloBillsMagic1 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 draft Sanu in 2nd round if still there.
BiggieScooby Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 You forget we have Brad Smith. This guy can run pass and catch.
Dorkington Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 And, BTW, free agency didn't end last night, it just started. Didn't Nix say that he is done with Free Agency on Friday? We effectively only have a couple days left.
Mike in Syracuse Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Everyone is freaking out and it's really unwarranted. A #2 WR isn't our biggest need, the ability to generate a pass rush is. There are still a LOT of options out there for us at WR: 1. Remaining unsigned FA's 2. Draft 3. Cuts 4. Easley Take a deep breath.
thebandit27 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Best options still available (in no specific order): Laurent Robinson - Dal Eddie Royal - Den Brandon Lloyd - St. L Reggie Wayne - Ind Mario Manningham - NYG 2nd tier guys: Donnie Avery - Ten Andre Caldwell - Cin Harry Douglas - Atl

I'm still having Robert PTSD
thebandit27 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Douglas just re-upped with the Falcons.... Hadn't seen that...thanks. I'm not sure I could take another "Royal" on this team. I'm still having Robert PTSD I LOL'd
Wagssr Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Does anyone notice that when Roscoe went down so did the offense? I think we should bring hoim back (he should come cheap) and supplement that with Easley or anoter late round speed guy. I don't think any of the remaining free agents out there are any better than what we have already.

thebandit27 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Wayne re-signed with Colts last night. really? hand't heard that either.
San Jose Bills Fan Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Didn't Nix say that he is done with Free Agency on Friday? We effectively only have a couple days left. If you're very imprecise about language, yes that's what he said. If you're precise about language, no he didn't say that.
Billshank Redemption Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 This just sucks I was so excited about both guys they brought in Meachem was the perfect two to Stevie
brianhawkeye2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Fill a different need via FA and add WR to be filled via draft. LT 1st round....OLB 2nd.....(WR MCNUTT 3rd) assuming we ink WILLIAMS.
1billsfan Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Mario Manningham was expected to go to Tampa Bay. However, with the Bucs signing of VJ it would seem Manningham is out of their plans leaving him as a natural fit for the Bills' #2 spot. Solid, clutch receiver who just helped his team win the Superbowl. If Easley turns out better than Manningham as a #2, then Bills would have one of the best slot receiver's in the league and the best receiver group here since the glory days of Reed, Lofton and Beebe.
The Senator Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Didn't Nix say that he is done with Free Agency on Friday? We effectively only have a couple days left. Well then... At least wait until Friday before posting really stupid statements, dontcha think?
Maddog69 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 (edited) Our plan B should be to take the money we offered to Meachem and add it to our offer to Mario. If we sign Mario, I don;t care if we sign anybody else. Edited March 14, 2012 by Maddog69
Armchair GM Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 First off, a solid #2 is a priority and an absolute need. How soon we've forgotten about the cliff dive last year turned out to be...Secondly, a lot of you on this board keep saying we need a burner to stretch the field, which is not the case. We need to give Fitz posession receivers that are solid route runners and have good hands. Fitz is a mid range QB, he simply can't put up the long ball that some other QB's in thisleague can. THIS, was probably one of the deciding factors for Meachum, being that he's a fast field stretcher, who just so happened to sing with a team that has a QB who's long ball is in the "elite" category. In comes Robinson and Manningham...both create seperation, run crisp routes and have better than average hands, not to mention that they have shown the ability to go up and get the ball when needed.

bladiebla Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 You mean guys like Stevie Johnson??? Folks tend to forget that SJ was a 7th-round pick. Who cares if Donald Jones, Naaman Roosevelt, David Nelson, et al were undrafted??? Hell, Wes Welker was undrafted. Folks seem to forget that SJ showed he'd be a player from the very beginning; when he was working with Gibran Hamdan he was allready making great catches.
