LancasterSteve Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 The Bills are awesome. They pick the lowest rated receiver in free agency. I'm sure other season ticket holders will notice the tight wallet by the bills and act accordingly with seat renewals. From what I was told last December; better than half of Club seats are up for renewal. Been in contact with all who sat around us and not one is renewing their club seats.....sad but it is what it is after 10 years of no playoffs. No matter how much of a splash the Bills make in free agency many people have just given up on the Bills.
CodeMonkey Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 48 minutes into it and already calling out Nix. Ay Karumba!! Not calling out anyone. Just saying Meachem can't be one of the big splashes Nix was talking about.
ndirish1978 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 (edited) The guys complaining about Meachem. morons. He's a perfect #2 and in case you haven't heard MARIO WILLIAMS IS COMING TO TOWN TONIGHT. You think we have money for him and Vincent Jackson? Garcon already signed with the redskins Edited March 13, 2012 by ndirish1978

CodeMonkey Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Not for nuthin, but I can only imagine what it must be like at OBD right about now. Crazyness
KD in CA Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 (edited) But it's only 3:53 New Orleans time. But it's always happy hour in NO. Not calling out anyone. Just saying Meachem can't be one of the big splashes Nix was talking about. A starting WR isn't a splash? Exactly how many Mario Williams level signings are you counting on? Nanker Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 It is to did you remeber to set your clock ahead Sunday morning : No, but evidently SDS did. Check out the time stamp on the post logs.

Garcon was WAAAY overpaid by the Redskins - they are nuts.

You think we have money for him and Vincent Jackson? Garcon already signed with the redskins Well said - besides, VJax is reportedly all but signed by Tampa Bay. Meacham is EXACTLY what we need to complement Stevie, and will leave us enough cash to chase Mario. Meacham can play, and will surprise some people who haven't watched him that closely.
CodeMonkey Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 (edited) A starting WR isn't a splash? Exactly how many Mario Williams level signings are you counting on? "Bills General Manager Buddy Nix said this morning that the team is planning to make waves with a free agent signing or two that makes the league take notice" No. I would not consider signing the Saints #2 WR something that would make the league take notice. Do you? How many? One would be nice. Two would be outstanding. I have no real opinion on Meachem specifically. All I was saying is I don't think he is a "big splash" Nix was talking about is all. And yeah ... I'm a greedy S.O.B. Edited March 13, 2012 by CodeMonkey

Antime we sign a FA that can actually start for the Bills it is a "splash"!!

The Poojer Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 And with jax going hard for vjax meachem is a great option...
QCity Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 VJax talking contract with the Bucs right now per espn.

In tandem with someone like Williams, it's a huge deal. On its own, it's a normal FA signing.
947 Posted March 13, 2012 Posted March 13, 2012 Meachem is a solid WR, and not just a go-route speedster like Lee Evans. Meachem was the sole WR on the field in the Saints' jumbo/run packages for the past 3 years, the guy can block.

Obviously Williams would fill the biggest but I think that's about the limit of reasonable expecation. After that they can draft the best OLB or OT at #10 and I'm starting to feel good about this team for the first time in a while. Edited March 13, 2012 by KD in CT
