Toshiero Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 ESPN's John Clayton reporting two sources that say Mario Williams informed the #Bills Tuesday night that he intends to make other visits. And if he leaves without signing then its over.
Toshiero Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 This is vague though. He could have told them that he intends to talk to teams A and B, but nothing has been scheduled. He could have also have told them that he won't sign a deal until he visits with those other two teams. As stated by Clayton, it's too vague to read anything into it. If he leaves here he isn't signing with us.
NickelCity Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 whateverdude: what are you quoting? Why, he's quoting Rich Smith of allsportsINTEL of course.
bladiebla Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 whateverdude: what are you quoting? He's quoting allsportstalk twitter, who is simply making a guess and trying to gain a name for himself by breaking news; he went wrong on one occassion allready (flynn).
pepsicat Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 ESPN's John Clayton reporting two sources that say Mario Williams informed the #Bills Tuesday night that he intends to make other visits. The Clayton report is the same report we saw last night, nothing new on that front.
Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 This seems to always happen to the Bills. We can never land a big FA like Williams because either we arent winning or we dont have big name players like Williams to attract other FA's but we can never sign any big name FA to persuade other FA to sign here
whateverdude Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 whateverdude: what are you quoting? https://twitter.com/#!/ALLsportsINTEL I don't know who rich smith is but here ya go
Miyagi-Do Karate Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Can't stop hitting F5. me too; what a discovery!
Dorkington Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 ARggghhhhhhhh!!!!! This is distracting me from work!
Haplo848 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I've heard a rumor that a press conference is expected at 1. Could it be? Could the rumor be right?
Dorkington Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Can we get some sources up in here? All these unconfirmed reports and rumors are driving me insane!
Thoner7 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 (edited) First time back here in a while guys, but take this with a grain of salt…. I have a friend who has a friend who works in PR for the Bills (yes its one of those friend of a friend things). BUT this Bills employee says their department has been prepping for a 4 or 430 pm press conference since this morning…. That seems like an awful lot of prep time to me. But it could be a “we sign him!!!” press conference or a “we didn’t sign him :-(“ conference but who knows. Edited March 14, 2012 by Thoner7

Canadian Bills Fan Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 Someone could post a link directing us to the Peter Pan guy right now and I bet all of us would fall for it
papazoid Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 The Clayton report is the same report we saw last night, nothing new on that front. actually it says "Updated: March 14, 2012, 11:07 AM ET" hopefully it's wrong... http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7684673/mario-williams-visit-other-teams-buffalo-bills-sources-say
Deep2Moulds46 Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 I've heard a rumor that a press conference is expected at 1. Could it be? Could the rumor be right? Keep in mind there will be a press conference either way. If he signs with the Bills, they will do the whole "welcome to Buffalo" press conference. If he leaves town, he will still meet the media to talk about how his visit went, what he likes about the Bills, and blah blah blah.
eball Posted March 14, 2012 Posted March 14, 2012 ARggghhhhhhhh!!!!! This is distracting me from work! You're telling me. I can't get a damn thing done. F5. Check Tweetbot. F5. Check Tweetbot. Repeat. Good lord.

I doubt the PR department of the Bills has any reason. It's just about having a plan in place.
