RyanC883 Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 The Bills are facing off against the AFC South and the NFC West. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/nfl-announces-2012-opponents-for-each-team-010212 Of course I realize most teams are going to be significantly different by the time the season starts... but I'm a little bored with the same FA and draft thread topics, so I thought I'd throw this out there to hopefully keep us busy until 4pm on Tues. at home: JAX W TENN W KC W STL W SEA W MIA W NE L NYJ W away: HOU L INDY W CLE W ZONA L SF L MIA L NE L NJ L I think the Bills have a good chance of taking care of business at home. I don't think it's crazy to expect 7 or 8 wins. I also think MIA and NYJ on the road are winnable. Add in CLE and IND and I'm thinking the Bills have a good shot at 10-11 wins. That ought to get them in at least wild card contention. So, what do you guys think? Are there any games you're ready to pencil in as Ws? or is it really too early? I'd also be interested to hear what you think might be the difference in some of the closer match ups, i.e. if team x signs/drafts so and so, we don't stand a chance, and vice versa. (There, I threw in some FA/Draft speculation for you! ) Lets see, W-L above. I was very conservative in making these picks. That puts us a 9 wins. Beating the Jets, Miami or the Pats on the road, plus beating Zona or SF gets us to 11 wins and a possible wildcard!
BuffaloBillsSD Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 2010 I predicted 2-14, actual record 4-12, 2011 predicted 4-12, actual record 6-10, for this year I am going with 6-10.
tennesseeboy Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 no reason we shouldn't win 10 games this year. Some active and aggressive work in free agency and a good draft will insure this.
Just in Atlanta Posted March 12, 2012 Posted March 12, 2012 I'm with the belief that nothing short of a winning season is mandatory for ChanNix to continue -lockout/injuries be damned. The teams' core believe in what they're doing and the schedule is encouraging. 10 wins or bust! Playoffs or bust for me. It's doable: NE is old. NJ is dependent on Sanchez. Mia doesn't know what it wants to be. We have a weaker schedule than normal. And... It's been 12 agonizing seasons of not watching them in January.

So if they go 10-6 after putrid 4-12 and 6-10 seasons, but get nudged out of a wildcard spot the season is a bust to you? Tough crowd. 10-6 would be a phenomenal success to me in 2012.

If a tough crowd is watching your team play for over a decade with no postseason, and not being overjoyed just because it pulled off a winning season, then I'm a tough crowd. Loyal fans deserve better IMHO.
DrDawkinstein Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Would anyone like to change their selection?!? :D Kinda feeling unbeatable right now. Sweep the division???
Offside Number 76 Posted March 15, 2012 Posted March 15, 2012 Would anyone like to change their selection?!? :D Kinda feeling unbeatable right now. Sweep the division??? No to sweep the division, but I do think they'll sweep the games in Orchard Park.

Loyal fans deserve better IMHO. Loyal fans dont deserve anything. No fan deserves anything . it's a choice we make and then we Hope. You might get behind the team and root root root for them though! You and i dont define the team. If they are dissapointing you try to find some positives to keep you going. Last year are reasons for some more hurrahs. If you cant hang when they are at the bottom but trying to rise man, then think again. If they are just sinking then let them go 10 years is a long time to hang on. I gave up and stopped watching football. Two years ago i started to pay attention to Buffalo getting Chan and Buddy up and running. That why i can say i am all aboard this trip. and having fun. I already bet my two supervisors( buddies, too) 100 each for fun that we would get ten wins this year. that was about 10 am this morning. Sure i was over the top. But i think we have a good shot because our methods are sound and we have the draft still. and after todays signing well.. If DaveW can sell us to Mario, we might really have something. No offence sir and Go Bills
BuffaloBillsSD Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Would anyone like to change their selection?!? :D Kinda feeling unbeatable right now. Sweep the division??? 10-6 or 11-5, I cannot believe I just typed that.
Toshiero Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Depending on what else is done in FA/ Draft and how injuries go I say 10-11 is realistic
Dorkington Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 Changing my vote to 10-12, with a 10-6 record my prediction.

BillsGuyInMalta Posted March 16, 2012 Posted March 16, 2012 (edited) Bills were very fortunate to have the NFC West and AFC South this year. The Texans, Titans (if they land Manning) and Niners are the only threats there.
