I watched Russell Wilson on Gruden's QB Camp show last night. I had already been impressed with him. I am even more impressed with him. He is very intelligent. He is a leader. He is a player.

He had to learn the Wisconsin offense -- which is completely different from the NC State offense -- in about a month. Gruden tested him on all of that and the kid just impressed. He also was dealing with the death of his father all at the same time.

I do not know where he should be picked -- I will leave that to Buddy. Nevertheless, I would be excited if the Bills had the opportunity to draft him and groom him under Fitz.

I would recommend anyone who is interested to watch the Gruden QB Camp with RW.

Saw it too. Looks like a very impressive person. Kind of guy you root for and with his under-dog status kind of guy Buffalo fans would love.

I would be down to draft him late as long as the crowd doesn't chant his name when Fitz throws a couple of picks

You mean like this?

RUSS-ELL WIL-SON!(clap,-clap,-clap,-clap)RUSS-ELL WIL-SON!(clap,-clap,-clap,-clap)RUSS-ELL WIL-SON!

IF we draft this kid, you might be hearing it within the first four games. Look, no one knows where Wilson will go, or what he'll do when he gets there, but the excitement generated between him, and the fans he's played for, is nothing short of legendary.

Who knows? -In the future YOU might even find yourself screaming his name.

I teach at NC State University. Don't measure his height. Just draft Russell Wilson. Do it. Second round if necessary, third if you want to take a chance he'll still be there.

I agree. I'd take him 3rd round. We need another QB anyway. We don't have a third string. I imagine Brad Smith is a WR only this year.

In any draft take where you think a QB SHOULD be drafted and move him up a round, maybe a round and a half. If you want Wilson you'll have to probably take him in the 3rd. Take the height issue away he's probably the 4th best QB prospect.

That's exactly what happened with Colin Kaepernick last draft. Guess we'll see how far he's come along in pre-season this year.

I don't know much about this guy I'll be the first to admit. I do know Wisconsin was good and he was a topic of discussion and he led in passing percentage by a large margin. I also know he's mobile and ellusive, a good leader and has a great arm. I also know he's 5'11.

Here's a CBS sports write up, Gruden's interview, and a random highlight tape the three things I just sort of looked at. I'm convinced for the moment that he would be an amazing pick up at 3. Let me know what you think. Could be the perfect guy to have behind Fitz for the coming years.

Clearly you haven't logged in for about a month. There's an eight page thread with all you ever wanted to know about wilson on page 3

If this guy is still there in the third round, I say grab him. We had an undersized QB once upon a time and he performed pretty well.

That's a big "if."

As I was reading this post I was thinking to myself "I wonder if this qb is black."

But thanks to the highlighted code, I guess I dont even need to google it.

Really, that's the best you can bring? That's all you really got? Way to stir the racial pot unnecessarily.....(((

I think he'll be there. Too many frady-cat GM's spooked by the height issue. The question is, will Buddy pull the trigger on him, or not. Trey Wingo did another ESPN special on Wilson today. They showed footage of some of the sickest throws I have ever seen at the college level. In the interview he was chomping at the bit. All this kid wants is a shot. He doesn't want any special treatment, and he doesn't want to be given anything. Qb's on shaky ground may mind his presence in training camp. They'd be right to worry. I don't care if you sell vacuums for a living, -you don't want to compete against this kid. He's not just a gifted athlete. -He's gifted, period. He leads men. Not just with pep talks, but by example. He walks the walk, and feeds of the pressure that comes with it.

It's hard to predict what Wilson will do with this opportunity. I, for one, won't be betting against him if he makes somebody's final roster.
