stevestojan
Well Mead, I've been closely following. They are FINALLY in backorder. Took 2 days. Now the question hinges on how far they are backordered by Friday when I get mine. Crazy "apple runs the world" fact: they were shipped yesterday. Via overnight delivery. I have my tracking number. HOWEVER, apple has forced fedex to hold them til Friday, the official release date. So my 2 ipads are sitting at the fedex location 4 miles from my place and I cannot get them. Chilly
Nope. They still refuse to pay for the license. Adobe killed mobile flash late last year for anyone who hadn't bought it yet. They can't add flash anymore.
Just Jack
Heavy demand expected as the new iPad goes on sale Friday: http://bit.ly/AhSwDg For some customers, standing in line will offer the only chance to get a new iPad on Friday. Apple quickly ran out of supplies it set aside for advance orders. The company was telling customers Thursday to expect a two- to three-week wait for orders placed through its online stores. mead107
Better ask for more money for them.
stevestojan
Better ask for more money for them. I just can't do it. Have them up for $600. Could I sell them for $800? Probably. But I have a job I figure a $200 profit for no work will get me and the fiancée a nice dinner and two people will get an ipad at a fairly reasonable price. I apologize in advance if I'm prodding, but are you trying to break Nathan Detroit's record for amount of time engaged? I thought you got engaged a few years ago, no? I thought you got engaged a few years ago, no? Yep. That lasted less than a year. Terrible decision and ended badly. This time I really found my wife. And all judgement is expected and not out of line.

And all judgement is expected and not out of line. No judgement here. My first marriage ended in less than a year. People make mistakes. Some bigger than others. It's only a problem when you keep making the same mistake, or decide it's easier to live with the mistake than address it.
SDS
Adobe killed mobile flash late last year for anyone who hadn't bought it yet. They can't add flash anymore. Adobe admitted mobile flash sucked ass. Something most people already knew while Adobe was promising the next version would be better...
DC Tom
And all judgement is expected and not out of line. Well that takes all the fun out of it. Does this one know you're synonymous with "****"? Adobe killed mobile flash late last year for anyone who hadn't bought it yet. They can't add flash anymore. Technically, they "killed" desktop Flash too...now they're pushing Adobe AIR (which, as far as I can tell, is Flash bloated with extra stuff that no one will ever use). Did they perchance do the same with mobile Flash?
zevo
anyone that would pay hundreds of dollars over retail price for a piece of electronic because they" can't wait" has real issues! more power to you.....you deserve to make a profit off these idiots! UConn James
Just picked up a "New iPad" at Sam's Club for $489 so certain people in the house will stop tying up my laptop. But, I may end up using it for a more portable Netflix viewer that I can prop right up on the windowsill while cooking and (hand)washing dishes. That should be a lot less clunky than setting up the laptop on the counter. We'll see how it works, especially vis-a-vis transferring song files over from Windows7 (is that possible?). mead107
My wife got me one for Christmas. I told her last night that I was putting a ipad on next years list so I can use it . Seems that she use the one she got me a hell of a lot more than I do.
UConn James
It's taking some getting used to, that's for sure.... One of the suckiest things is no Lastpass log-in or saving password options that I've seen so far. Having to re-enter those every time is a PITA. Also, no AdBLock Plus for iPad Safari. Netflix looked pretty darn good. And I just used the microphone speech to text option to type this text. That's pretty awesome! Still have a lot to learn on this, tho. ajzepp
Does the iPad have the retina screen on it like the iPhone does? That's the one thing I miss with the Kindle Fire I picked up to play around with...the retina screen on the iPhone is much sharper than the Kindle, although still very much watchable. I just got accustomed to the better resolution.
