Watch the league scapegoat us and suspend Stevie for the whole season. They will go after all teams that had Greggo but that will not be the reason given. This one seems to be the perfect excuse.
shrader Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 What would guys like this do if they had an occupation where they actually had to use their brains?
Rubes Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Best comment on that story: "I’m sure Chan Gailey threw a sack full of nickels on the table and demanded blood."
CBD Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 I'm sure DeMarcus Ware collected quite a sum for putting Eric Wood out for the season.
CodeMonkey Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 It is unlikely in the extreme that a WR, who so often is in a very vulnerable position, would participate in or even condone a bounty system. It makes no sense. Johnsons block was ill advised and not very bright, but was not the result of any bounty.

TheMadCap Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 A big reason why online commiunications are really, really bad: no one knows when you are kidding around. I didn't get that he was serious from that at all. Blowing this WAY out of proportion...
mob16151 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Yea Curtis Modkins put a bounty on Eric Berry while we where whooping the Chiefs a** all over arrowhead................
benderbender Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 And the sideline put out a bounty on Jamaal Charles too later on in the season
Roger Goodell Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 (edited) Yes, the league intends to do something about those headhunting wide receivers. Edited April 17, 2012 by Roger Goodell
Talley56 Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 It all makes sense. If the Bills are going to target anyone it's certainly not going to be a guy like Tom Brady. No, it's obviously going to be Eric Berry.
tennesseeboy Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 A receiver who is subject to countless opportunities to be speared or concussed or hurt is going head hunting? I don't think so. The payback would be pretty immediate and awfully serious. I think Eric is just overplaying the whole thing. Did Johnson get fined or suspended for the hit?

No, it's obviously going to be Eric Berry. not saying i agree with Berry's suggestion or not because it's unclear as to how serious he is about his allegation. i will note recalling how the game's complexion certainly did change in the Bills favor when Berry left. and his injury certainly did lead in part to the Chiefs early season struggles. Eric Berry might not be Tom Brady, but Berry is a difference-maker in the Chiefs' defense. jw

Billshank Redemption Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard, completely unnecessary and pretty vocal for only a 2nd yr player
Delete This Account Posted April 17, 2012 Posted April 17, 2012 Except that Berry didn't get hurt on that play. not entirely true. he limped off the field and, on his next play back, his leg essentially gave out on him. he went down without being touched, as i recall. to suggest there is no correlation is questionable at best. jw

Many players have torn their ACL's without prior contact and without contact period. And ultimately his coaches/trainers/he himself put him back in the game.
