aussiebills Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 HE'S BACKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Glory Hallelujah!!! and now maybe we can have fans not say that we are going to let Stevie walk and that Nix just "tries" to sign players but really doesn't. They hopefully just invested millions in Stevie, Fitz, Spiller, and soon Jackson. If they don't resign Bell, no way they don't draft an offensive lineman. Too much money invested to leave LT to Hairston. DeCastro may be too good of a talent to pass-up at #10, but I believe it will be Martin. Cordy Glen.
NoSaint Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 ESPN doesn't pay Adam Schefter over a million dollars a year to be wrong. He said that they negotiated aggressively throughout the day and expect to have a deal done by tomorrow. Stevie probably got bombarded by fans' tweets saying it was a done deal and assumed another hack reported it. Who knows where Stevie stands vs what someone else might think of the deal. Im hopeful but that's an odd reaction on his part. Maybe sj13 is just joking around. Maybe he let's his agent handle it and stays away til he's told it's time to sign. Maybe he's not as thrilled as nix's assistant that leaked the news was. We just don't know yet. Schefter is normally pretty good tho.
brenty Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 (edited) well looks like he is wrong via twitter All these "reports" are crazy, but I appreciate the positive energy. We will see what happens. No matter what I'm truly blessed. https://twitter.com/#!/StevieJohnson13 Edited March 5, 2012 by brenty

No matter what I'm truly blessed. https://twitter.com/#!/StevieJohnson13 Don't know if that means anyone is wrong.... He isn't confirming or denying it, just saying it's crazy. Not to mention the fact that Stevie has said that his agent would handle the contract and would only come to him if it was something he was ready to sign... which is probably what Schefter is reporting on.
Buffalo Barbarian Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Financial terms were not disclosed. The deal could be completed by the end of Monday, Schefter added. Stevie Johnson has put together consecutive 1,000-yard receiving seasons. The Bills and Johnson's representatives have been negotiating a new contract for some time. Johnson's agent, C.J. LaBoy, last week expressed optimism that an agreement could be reached. Bills management floated the idea of putting the franchise tag on Johnson, but general manager Doug Whaley said he preferred to work out a long-term pact. eball Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 C.J. LaBoy -- worst name ever? Gotta think I'd be changing that. Sounds like a bad teen band from the 80s. Get 'er done, fellas!
nucci Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 Doubt it. Smith/Nix don't take first round offensive lineman. Who is Smith? This is Buddy's 3rd draft so it is hard to see a pattern so far. I think OT is 1st pick.
