for all of you who are a fan of the trade down scenerio...what if the bills could find a way to weasle the 17 and 21 picks from cincy and pick up decastro and cordy glen? two potential road graders to play on the line with levitre, wood, and whoever the 5th best ol we have might be. seems like they would be able to open some really nice holes for freddy and cj, and maybe open up the play action pass quite a bit. however, we would be neglecting some other areas of need. but oh, the smashmouth 3 yards and a cloud of dust/snow!

Is Glenn really an NFL tackle?

i have no idea. i am just going out of my mind waiting for free agency and the draft. not to mention which of our own guys do we re-sign. i've just always been a fan of the front line players and from the general consensus, the de's are weak at the top this year. just kinda throwing hypothetical crap at the walls here...

I may be one of few, but I trust Nix and company. If it weren't for so many injuries, I really do believe we would have finished better than 6-10.

That being said, what people need to realize is that there will be a few more warts on our draft pick at #10, compared to #3. That's what coaching is for.

i actually have a lot of faith in buddy as well as chan and his staff. i also think that what happens may not be anywhere near what the fans want to see, but it will probably make sense and will definately be in the best interest of the team. and i absolutely believe that injuries played a huge part in our downfall last year. here's hoping for a healthy season!

When you have the opportunity to pick in the top ten, you don't trade out. We need playmakers, be it a pass rusher, CB, or WR. Our line really isn't a priority @ 10.

it's not so much about priority as it is building a legitimate point of strength on the team. and moreso than that, it's about building a physical identity and starting in the offensive trenches. or maybe it's just about hoping beyond hope we do not take a db in the first round.

That's just an unfounded generalization. The pro bowl is full of 1st-3rd round picks every year. Now if you want to win a SB, you probably should be drafting a QB very high.........but there are good OT's, DE's later in round 1 and if you insist on looking good but not winning, there are also excellent WR and DB available outside of the top 10.

How are you supposed to get the ball to a playmaker with old cracky ribs having to get it out under 3 seconds?

He measures out well to be a LT he just needs to be coached up at the position !!

I have interest in this scenario - but you're not getting 17-21 for 10 alone you're going to have to give up a little more, but for the sake of argument lets say we have 17 and 21 here is how I look at it.

1. To me the draft can be thought off as in tiers and we well pick tier#3 guys at 17 and 21 while at 10 we would have a slight chance at a tier#2 guy

Tier#1 Luck, RG3, Kalil Tier#2 Blackmon, Claiborne, Richardson, Reiff Tier#3 4DES Coples,Ingram,Perry,Mercillus 4DTs Poe, Brockers,Cox,Still 2OLBs Upshaw, Z.Brown 2ILBs Hightower,Kuechly 2CBs Kirkpatrick,Jenkins 1S Barron 1QB Tannehill 2OTs Martin, Adams 2OGs DeCastro,Glenn 1OC Konz 3WRs Floyd,Jeffery,Wright 1RB Miller

So a choice of about 25 players- but I'm going to eliminate 5 -QB,RB,S and 3-4 LBs Upshaw and Hightower

also I think we will pick up either a high quality WR or DE in free agency which will impact on the draft

I'd make a case for getting Mario Williams in free agency, Michael Floyd, and Jenkins in the first round

my dream FA and Draft

Bills resign SJ,DB,SC,BS,KM

Bills sign Mario Williams

Draft

Bills trade 10 and 2013 2nd for 17 and 21

1a. Michael Floyd WR

1b. Janoris Jenkins CB

2a. Lavonte David OLB

bills trade their 3 and 4 to move back into round 2

2b. Bruce Irving OLB/pass rush specialist

4. Brandon Mosley OT

5a Derek Wolfe DT

5b Tank Carder OLB

6. Josh Kaddu OLB

7. Najee Goode ILB

Our guys can already open holes so an LT would be fine but not both.

I don't disagree but we need to see who we get during free agency to know what positions are strengths or weaknesses (for us as well as teams picking before or just after us) before looking at who to draft. There are endless scenario but for me it's too early to be discuss them seriously.

The question you have to ask, is what player would the Bengals want to trade up for. Richardson? A tackle? I'm not sure there will be I guy they want to trade up for. DeCastro in my opinion will not be available.

Richardson is the player they'd move up to get, there is a good chance that KC picks Richardson if he falls past the Bills.

Dalton, Green, Richardson, Gresham is a pretty sweet nucleus of young skill players but Richardson's knee surgery even though characterized as very minor may dissuade them from giving up two quality picks.

Yea he is!

"If" he is still there at the 10 spot I'd imagine the Cincy war room going nuts trying to trade up to get him. They have the #17 & #21 picks and DeCastro, Glenn and even Martin could be still be there for the Bills. That trade could go a long way into helping this team, this year. I'd even go for the two guards scenario, and try Glenn at tackle
