ExiledInIllinois
I want to convert a VGA signal (15 pin VGA connection) from a laptop to an HDMI cable that is connected to an HDMI source on a TV via a converter box. The converter box DOES NOT upscale. What I want to know is if this will be a problem? The VGA to HDMI converter supports a ton of imput and outputs. Should I just shell out more money for a VGA-HDMI converter that has an upscale feature or will the non-upscaling converter work fine? Finally broke from my Luddite ways and got a modern TV. I want to hook up a PC to it. The TV doesn't have a VGA imput... Just HDMI's... The second HDMI port on the TV has an audio jack (for DVI conversion). The converter box I am looking at has an audio in. Is there a simpler way instead of buying a laptop with and HDMI out?
