3rdand12
they seem sold on Wood by most accounts i have read or heard/seen on video. Bell has been announced as a risk by both Chan and Nix. T. McGee contract was perfect for both player and team i hope we get something incentive based for Mr. Bell too. Merriman is a story in it's own realm and should not be factored here. But the Giants got injuries and then were getting healthy down the stretch. That is the way football is these days i think. To the OP, we Do seem to have a cursed team lateley. Its not even the # of injuries it's who they occur to. Like Fred and George and Eric and Kyle. all big time starters. These guys are at least consideration for pro bowls. It was a tough year for us. Chan had the off lineman wearing knee brace two years ago at St John Fisher so he knew we have a history too. Still not an honest excuse for an NFL team

Dorkington
I don't think it's a fluke that we seem to run into this every year. I thought changing our turf would help, but clearly not. We need better scouts and conditioning coaches.

Maybe we're looking at THREE LB's in this draft, not two.

But a team always needs veterans. I mean look at ed reed and that nasty fellow who plays middle lb for the ravens. Dont misread age for incompetence. Nick has been an asset if not more so and i could say respectfully that Mr Edwards and Mr Davis also have been leaders and solid enough players, The only guy i would say is a sure over done player is Torbor and he wasnt a bad fellow either injuries will force him to retire. Wilson was on his way to a monster year. Scott has done everything we asked of him and then some. McGee was kind and smart enough to restructure contract and he still hits 'em. Morrison might well be our silb and succeed. Chris will be putting his hand to ground again thank goodness and be serviceable enough. Flo did what he could with no pass rush and got frustrated. Johnson was playing out of position. so to your point thats why we build through the draft ps. it was a bad year to play defence for us.
BADOLBILZ
Are you suggesting that Wood's broken leg in 09 happened because he's injury prone? There are various levels of injury prone. Some guys have joints or muscles that can't take the wear and tear. Others lack the instinctive presence and body control to avoid injury. E. Balsa Wood might be in that latter category. Just sayin'. #34fan
Time to go grass And also re-vamp our strength and conditioning program. Seriously, not only do our guys look bad compared to other NFL teams, but they also start dropping like flies once the season starts.
