ganesh Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Let us move on to the aspect of us beating the Steelers at RWS next sunday. We can then worry about the rest of the games.... 1. Can our DEs stop the Run. I have watched quite a bit of the steelers game here at the Burgh....Bettis has got most of his yards running on the outside. The DEs have found it hard to tackle him and bottle up. Will Schoebel and Kelsay be able to stop Bettis on the outside. Remember they struggled against Rudi Johnson last weekend. 2. Can the D put enough heat on Tommy maddox ? Maddox will be rusty and also trying to prove to everyone that he can play equally well with the same OL as Big Ben. Can our defensive backfield cover against both Hines Ward and Plaxico Burress. 3. On offense, LeBeau is the faster at zone blitzing and hiding his blitzes. Can Drew Bledsoe take the pressure from the middle and find his receivers. 4. Can McGahee run against the stout front 7 of the steelers...The Steelers are the #1 against the Run having given up just 82 yards against the Run. Of course one thing that has helped them is their O has put them up ahead in most of the games which means teams were running less against them. The challenge is for MM and Clements to keep the Run game going and to chew the clock and reduce the game time and keep the ball off the hands of Bledsoe. 5. Special Teams: How will be stop Randall El? Randal has been one of the exciting Kickoff and Punt returners in the league and has given his team great field positions game in/game out. Our covergae teams have to be provide real tight coverage to avoid this guy from breaking for big gains. The keys to the game seems to be again, stop Bettis from running wild, get McGahee going, and play good special teams.
JohninMinn. Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 It's simple. At the Sold Out Ralph in December Bills 38 Steelers 12.
