RkFast
I don't see too many bicyclists out my way...and I am glad. This time of year, though, there are a few that start to pop out complete in spandex. I just cannot imagine pulling that unitard up and thinking, "yeah, I am ready!" Gay. Ya DO realize foottball players wear spandex knickers, right? LOL When it comes to 2000 lb vehicle vs. you on a bicycle, regardless of what the law says you would be WELL advised to assume it's the car's road. Um...no. Becuase for all your tough talk....you aint doing SH_T with your car. On a hiking trail who has the right of way? Just wondering. Hikers...absolutely. I see a hiker, I slow down to a crawl and give him all the room I can. I come up from behind, Ill call "on your left" and then give MORE verbal info about my passing intentions. Leave with a "thank you, have a nice day." And what are the hiking rules you mentioned? Basic stuff....leave no trace, usually no dogs allowed, walk the right direction on one way trails, stay on blazed trails, dont spook horses, etc.
Chef Jim
Hikers...absolutely. Actually it's horses.
Guffalo
Just get rid of bicycles, and hiking shoes. You're all disrespectful, arrogant snobs anyway. Ban hiking, biking, dog walking. I'm ok with that. If bicycles are outlawed, only outlaws will have bicycles....
RkFast
Actually it's horses. Ah. Horses are actually worse. You can spook the **** out of them. You come across a horse, you dismount and let them pass slowly. Bears are fun. We get those in north Jersey. Ever get caught between a mama bear on one side of the trail and the cubs on the other. Yeah, NOT fun. You Calfornia types have to worry about Mountain Lions. DCT will like this....they case you out. They will hide on the side of the trail and take note of who passes and when. And then one day, wait there for ya at that specifric time and pounce.
Jim in Anchorage
Man you lower 48 trail users are bunca old ladies. Bicycles? Which side to pass? What to wear? Should I wear bells? I Hammer the throttle on my Honda four trax and just go. Mud, rocks, rivers, hills I just go. And the Grizz are afraid of me, not the other way around

boyst
I want to add motorcyclists to this. Not all of them, but 99%. On the way back on a rural highway they had State Trooper escorts, two cops on bikes. They would stop all traffic at intersections, let them and their posse run lights, and all at the tax payers dime for no more then 20 riders. The stupidest part was oncoming traffic would often pull over and stop not knowing why a police escort is leading these idiots. I wanted to rev up and put twenty new hood ornaments on my truck. The $1,555 traffic stop. Saw that this morning on NY1 News. The guy was bragging about it or something, admitted to several offenses and since he was then a repeat offender...well. D'oh! Don't you dare lump us in with bicyclers. We move with the flow of traffic, follow the traffic laws (for the most part), & don't have a chip on our shoulder. And we tend to wear heterosexual attire when we ride.

That is going between lanes of traffic when the speed is 30 or lower. Problem is the future organ donors sometimes do it at higher speeds. I saw one idiot last week do it at 55-60! We move with the flow of traffic, follow the traffic laws (for the most part), & don't have a chip on our shoulder. I got a question about motorcyclists. Why does it seem they like to be right on the yellow line when I'm in the opposite lane traveling towards them. And I don't mean they are there already, they seem to drift towards it as traffic comes towards them? I'm not drifting over to them, I'm staying in my lane, but lately it seems I see a lot of them do this. They go from the middle of their lane to the yellow line. Rob's House
you decide... What is more gay: Both. Not fair, dude. First off, that guy on the left is an outlier. Secondly, most guys just wear jeans and a leather jacket, these guys are just extra special. And third, even though I don't wear them, stirrups are only queer when they ARE your pants. Also, notice the bikers don't have tight pants that outline the shape of their junk like they're trying to put it on display so they can conveniently shop around for who they want to take to the bath house later. Can't say I'm familiar with this practice. Must either be an optical illusion, subconscious drifiting, or mental retardation (some of these guys don't really get the concept of physics).. As I recall, motorcyclists are supposed to ride to the left side of their lane, so drivers in front of them can see them better in their mirrors. As for drifting over farther...maybe they just like you, Jack.
