T master Posted February 18, 2012 Posted February 18, 2012 (edited) I go around reading different articles mostly on TBD , BB.com , Rumblings , & a few others that i sneak in (ESPN , NFL Network) from time to time but these are the most visited , & i sometimes can't believe what i read in the posts & such when it comes to THE BILLS which we call our team . The team that we are suppose to (or should) know a little bit more about seeing as this is OUR team as we call it . Some of the pipe dreams that are floating around right now are the thoughts of our team "The Bills" picking up Mario WIlliams Or Vincent Jackson .. I hate to break it to you all but IT AIN'T HAPPENIN !!!!! I heard or read that Mario was going to fetch upwards of $22 MILLION a season & would require a MONSTER contract in order to acquire his services & if any one here thinks the Bills are going to pay that kind of money your pipe dreaming !! Then there is Vincent Jackson & i have again heard or read that IF the Chargers franchise him it would cost them around $14 Million for the year & IF he hits the market (which will be where we would pick him up from) he would quite possibly be the highest paid WR on the market , which is over the $9 million a year mark so this is something i don't see the Bills doing hence another pipe dream !! We may take a dive into the FA market but it will be for a lesser known WR or DE , because we are after all the Bills & our history of cap to cash will keep us looking for more bang for our buck player & there , your guess is as good as mine but we can forget a high profile player !! Plus after we get Stevie , Chandler , Bell , & Fred resigned there isn't going to be a lot left over to work with . Sure there are going to be others IMHO that won't be here like Torbor , A Davis , T Mcgee , & a multitude of others that will save us some money but not enough to sign a Williams or Jackson !! Then i here all this nightmare type talk of Alex Carrington . People for what ever reason think that he won't be able to play a decent roll other than a back up or reserve in Wannstedts 43 scheme ----- HUH ?? We drafted the guy from Arkansas St. & he was a 43 DE & in his college career , the guy had 21.5 sacks so why wouldn't he be able to contribute in a 43 D in the NFL ???? If anything i think if we leave the guy in one spot he might be able to shine a bit .. (& keep him out of a LB position which he is not) I think seeing as he has bulked up a bit or put on some weight to play on the line that there MAY BE the possibility that they have him lose a bit of weight with the hopes of getting quicker , but the nightmare that he won't be able to contribute in a 43 is just foolish b/c thats what he was drafted for & from . So why won't it work ?? Some one please explain those thoughts so they make sense or clue me in on what it is i'm missing !!! I think some of our fellow fans need to read or remember a bit more before they write some of these posts on these sites mentioned so that we don't have to read from the stand point of these folks misremembering !!!
