YEAH. I don't have to hate Nix and Gailey.... Yet. Now I wonder if they will trade Jackson or resign a 3rd string guy for 10 mil a year. Ohhhhh I know. T. Choice. There you go. They will resign him for 6 million a year. That is what will probably cause me to have a fit.

Was still riding high from the SJ13 signing today, and then I got this fortune at lunch...

Hopefully, the maker of the fortune cookie didn't cut the message down from the following:

"Your sports team will be very successful this year duping you into thinking it's making the playoffs, causing great excitement and jubilation, only at the last minute to crush your proud heart into a barely-beating mass of bloody pulp like it has year after year."

I still think Stevie is going to free agency and end up signing with the 49ers. Ralph is just too cheap and Buddy has been playing us. This is an elaborate hoax to boost season ticket sales. They can't fool me, i'm on to Ralph and Brandon and their wiley ways!

Mark my words on this.

Wow where do I begin....

76 receptions is no big deal right? how about the fact that VJ has never had more than 68and DeSean more than 62 in a season

You don't want me to only compare the last 2 years? Okay in a 7 year career VJ has 272 receptions in a 4 year career (with 2 getting barely any playing time mind you) he has 170 receptions (well on pace to be ahead of VJ). In the same 4 years (starting all of them) DeSean has 229 receptions. So I guess with 2 extra years DeSean got 59 more catches which is far from spectacular.

You would consider my argument if Stevie caught 100 balls for 1200 yards or 12 tds right? Do you realize that never in either of VJ or Mesean's career they've reached those numbers.

His numbers aren't that good for being THE GUY? How about having the most yardage against Revis or the fact that he is the only threat on the team at wr. Defenses must focus on Antonio Gates, (at one time) Tomlinson, Sproles, Malcolm Floyd (better than anyone else we have) for SD. For the Eagles they have Maclin, McCoy, and Celek to pull coverage off of them.

How good is 76 for 1005 and 7 tds? I would say comparable to 60 for 1106 and 9 tds (VJ) and much better than 58 for 961 and 4 tds (DeSean)

I will also add rank these 3 qbs: Vick, Rivers, Fitzpatrick

Come on man I know he plays for the Bills and gets no ESPN love but I think I more than proved that he is at least on par (if not better than) VJ and DJ. Somehow you would rather pay 2 guys who have been quitters on their team over someone who has been solid...

a good reply, but you are only looking at vj and dj and not bowe or colston or maybe a couple other receivers who could have came at 3-5 milion a year with the saving going toward other positions. Part of it is the type of catches VJ makes, have you seen them? Bowe too, looking strickly at numbers, ya they are low on those two guys but they have true upside. I think vj was hurt alot so your argument is lessened by this and DJ, while not a true number 1, is a great 2 and much more effective in the deep game (like evans was) which you need across from a well rounded guy like stevie. saying that gaileys system isnt for a fast guy is a joke, any offense is better if the guys are faster, period. I think its harder to get a true burner these days than a big guy w hands. People talk about stevies upside saying hes got alot. I think he has almost none...hes already great at the routes and mental side of it minus the antics. He will not get any faster or taller, so whats left to improve on? Also saying SJ did it by himself without another threat is chicken vs the egg. On one hand he gets alot more looks and balls his way, on the other, coverage is tighter. Imagine if we had kept our true deep threat last year, the season we almost had...a full year of evans johnson and fitz. It would have been great. Im glad we resigned stevie, honestly, i am not a SJ hater at all and really like watching him make his moves off the line. That being said my main point was not to overpay. 7.5 mil a year is only 1.5 mil more than what was ideal in my mind so, its ok i guess. 1.5 mil less to throw at another player we may lose out on. but its in the past now so i say... welcome back stevie.
