Adam
Once a young, energetic, bright shining star who overshadowed all others on the grand stage. Eventually ruined herself after getting mixed up with a smooth-talking man who was the worst match possible for her, succumbing to an addiction which first robbed her of her unique talents and then ended her very life much too soon. Crack = Socialism Bobby Brown = Barack Obama Why not replace Socialism with the wars or torture, and Barack Obama with President Bush? Partisan stuff like this is so stupid. As much as what is going on in our country bothers me, it isn't like Syria. Complain if it makes you feel better, but I bet you don't wish you were there instead. Also, Bush doesn't make sense as "Bobby Brown" either. Wars aren't like crack in any way shape or form. Bush was trying to keep us safe even if the war in Iraq was a bungled mess from the get go. Socialism is like "crack" because the more people you give "free stuff" to, the less they feel like to contributing by getting a real job. The tide is turning and once it does America will be toast. In California, Obama is polling over Romney by 20 points. Do you know WHY he's polling so ridiculously high over Romney? Once America becomes the bigger version of the state of California, this country will be officially cease to exist. At least the one I love. bbb
I think Whitney Houston was a terrific singer, though I never loved her songs. I think she inspired a whole wave of awful, over the top singers, and that is too bad. She had much more restraint than those who came after her. I think her version of the anthem was really good...not sure if it is the "best ever", but I think it ranks up there as one of the least embarassing of those sung by other pop stars. Since you mentioned it, what is, to your ears, the best you have ever heard. If you say Steven Tyler or Roseann Barr, it doesn't count! I think Whitney's version was the best tradtional playing of it. But, wasn't she lip synching? Anyway, this is my all time favorite: Magic Johnson said something like "We didn't want to play basketball. We wanted to keep listening to Marvin!" They sure as hell are crack for companies like Halliburton and Titan. Not to mention I don't think trying to keep us safe is an excuse for tying a person to a board wrapping their face and mouth with plastic wrap, putting a rag over their nose and pouring water up it. Especially if that person is an American citizen.
