zow2 Posted December 27, 2004 Author Posted December 27, 2004 Hey , we should all be thankful that the Ravens, Jags and Jets all lost yesterday. What were the odds of that?!? Now we only need one out of two scenarios to happen instead of several lucky breaks on the same day. New England did us a huge favor by choking to Miami last week. That gave them the focus to beat the Jets instead of mailing it in. That being said, clearly the Rams beating the Jets is more likely than Indy winning in Denver, but Indy does have some good "scrubs". Rhodes and Mungro are not inexperienced RB's and they still will have to use some decent WR's in the game. Peyton sitting would be a bummer but maybe Dungy will use him for a half and the Colts can get a lead and hang on. Stranger things have happened.
ganesh Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Hey , we should all be thankful that the Ravens, Jags and Jets all lost yesterday. What were the odds of that?!? 180303[/snapback] Agreed...We expected Jax to beat Houston at home (especially after the win over GB which gave them momentum) and expected a fading denver to lose at the Titans...The result of the two games got swapped. The other two games went the way they were expected to go (Bal losing to Pittsburgh) and NE beating up the Jets. So nothing has changed from what we thought would be the case going into the final week....We still need to win and need some outside help. So let us enjoy the ride and put a beating on the steelers and hope the chips fall our way.
