They won't have a game the week of the World Series or the last week of the season so that means 15 games on Thursday night...doesn't that mean two teams will get the shaft?

NBC stills gets two games, opening night and Thanksgiving, but even if you assume the 4 teams in those games will not be on the NFLN games that's still 30.

Although your math of 15-2 is correct, Im guessing thats where you got the 13 from. When counting weeks 2 through weeks 15... you have to include week 2 and week 15, like so: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15(count the actual numbers). There is 14 numbers there, times 2 teams, equals 28. Plus a double header on thanksgiving. Sorry, this wasn't meant to belittle you, just a common mistake in math. Edit: sorry forgot its a triple header on thanksgiving, so add 4 more teams. Edited February 3, 2012 by Wayne333

Well, there's three games on Thanksgiving so that's 6 teams playing right there.

That would be about right.Although, If we played the Patriots on Thursday with a 3pm start, they could fly in and out the same day. It would be a nice gesture to Tommy's dad too.

The NFL is increasing the number of Thursday night games so more of its teams can play in prime time...Commissioner Roger Goodell said that there will be Thursday night games on the NFL Network from the second to the 15th week of the season, giving all of the league's teams a chance to appear in prime time on some outlet...Those games will be in addition to the usual Sunday night and Monday night games, which tend to feature teams coming off good seasons. Personally, I hate staying up late to watch the Bills on TV, and I hope there's NEVER another nite game at The Ralph - the fans behave like animals at those nite games. Monday is a double header, not Thursday opening weekend. This would have to include turkey day.

I was the one who started the thread about every team should be able to have at least one prime-time game and not to say it was because of me but you never know how word could reach the commissioner. All I know is I got my wish... The funny thing being you might not even be able to watch it? Thursday is still on nfln next year?which would mean a primetime game that millions of fans wouldn't be able to watch at home.
