olivier in france Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 (edited) Hi Guys! Our first division team here in France is looking urgently for a quarterback. Our canadian QB has been fired this week as he coud not get along with the coach. Problem is the season starts in two weeks! So we are looking for someone who could be available ASAP and till mid june and the end of our season. The team will pay for the travels, expenses, will provide a flat and give the QB a little extra money. It can be a great experience for a young american who can discover France and Europe, play football at a decent level (something like NCAA D3)... The team is based in Grenoble in the French Alps. If you know someone who could be interested, the guy should have experience as a starter with a team at least at a NCAA D2-D3 level. KD in CA Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 That sounds pretty cool. If only I was single, 20 years younger and could throw a football more than 20 yards.
olivier in france Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 (edited) A few things i had forgotten: This is a 10 games regular season league with trips planned in Nice, Aix en Provence, Thonon les Bains, Amiens and Paris. The team will play additionnal games in the european cup called the EFAF Cup with a trip planned in Switzerland for the first round. Edited February 3, 2012 by olivier in france
PromoTheRobot Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I would start by looking at rosters from the UFL. I'll bet most any player in that league would be willing. PTR
RyanC883 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 As long as you have nice hotels, Tom Brady might be available! Otherwise, I'd look at undrafted FA's from last year at the QB position. Might be someone who would love to keep playing taht has no idea this opportunity exists. Sounds like a great one.
Maddog69 Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Trent Edwards is probably available. I can picture Trent prancing through the Alps. Seems like it is right up his alley.
PromoTheRobot Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Contact agents who might have clients who need a chance to play somewhere. PTR

Just Jack Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I'm okay at Madden, does that count toward experience?
olivier in france Posted February 3, 2012 Author Posted February 3, 2012 I'm okay at Madden, does that count toward experience? no if that was the case i'd be the QB of the team!!
CodeMonkey Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Contact agents who might have clients who need a chance to play somewhere. PTR I suspect anyone with an agent is immediately too expensive.
Captain Hindsight Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 I suspect anyone with an agent is immediately too expensive. I can throw a football over a mountain!
The Cincinnati Kid Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 If coach had put in back in '73, we'd have taken state! I'll played club football in college...you want me?
NewEra Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 1328280421[/url]' post='2376048']Trent Edwards is probably available. I can picture Trent prancing through the Alps. Seems like it is right up his alley. Prancing....lol that's great
The Cincinnati Kid Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Maybe Trent and JP could go and compete for the job. Perhaps Dick Jouron wants to be the head coach?
Jim in Anchorage Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 Hey lets see some serious answers here. You might find the next Fred Jackson!
